I've cleaned around 35 albums so far. A few of them were pretty grungy and had plenty of pops and surface noise. After a 30 minute wash cycle, they came out looking like new and the pop and surface noise was definitely a major improvement! I used distilled water and the soap that came from my yellow manual washing unit. When I received my cleaning machine, I was a bit reluctant to use the plexiglass discs that came it came with for covering the labels. So far, every album that I've cleaned not a single label got wet! I clean 5 records at a time with a 30-minute run. Works perfect and you cannot beat the price for the job it does!

works great to clean records. i had used tergitols and vacuum scrub but this gets more dirt off after that and the sound is audibly improved! the motor drive is a little fast so i bought a LM317 Adjustable Voltage Regulator Board for $20 and spliced it into the 24vdc supply to reduce the voltage and thereby slow the motor. works great, you can see dirt in the water and tank. researching, with a half inch spacer 5 min at 40 degrees C should be ok, but because the spacers are about 5/16 I have been using 9 minutes. excellent value.

I purchased this US cleaner primarily for cleaning records. I've found it is a great solution if you are cleaning a lot of records at one time. Very affordable solution but requires a few additions in my opinion. Most people have added a spin clean unit for rinsing the vinyl after cleaning as you will need to use a surficant for the best results. I also upgraded to some additional dividers that have rubber grommets that seal the labels from getting wet. You will also want a way to dry or vacuum your records after cleaning. This is not an optimal solution for cleaning one record at a time. I upgraded to a Humminguru for that, but it is substantially more expensive. This is best for many records in a session. Great price, easy to use, and ultrasonic cleaning will change the game when listening to your records. Highly recommended!

Fabulous ultrasonic record cleaner for a fraction of competitor's prices. Couldn't recommend high enough. Just buy it and you'll know what I mean!

After reading all the reviews of the 6L ultrasonic cleaner listing some minor shortcomings, I noted that several were resolved on the unit I received. The center holes on the spacers were adequate for the drive shaft, the motor turned the record s slow enough to allow sufficient exposure to the vibrations, and the unit arrived with the ring cleaner basket and (disassembled) drying rack. After cleaning +50 12-inch albums, I can say the unit performed perfectly well. I do have to report that right out of the box the brass ball valve that drains the tank leaks and the handle does not close fully. I made a limited attempt to unscrew the ball valve to perhaps clean it but abandoned that effort so as not to damage the tank. Faced with either sending it back or adding a second valve, I simply screwed-in a small PVC valve that I already had. Because of the valve issue, I rarel this unit a solid 4.5

This cleaner has been an absolute GAME CHANGER for my records. Since purchasing the Vevor 6L last year I have cleaned my entire collection of over 1200 records with excellent results. To be sure it does NOT repair existing physical damage to the vinyl, but it does remove just about any crud stuck on and in the grooves of your records. I agree that the motor spins entirely too fast to be effective, so I added a rheostat speed controller (similar to an electric train set) to slow the rotation down. This works well and enables me to actually watch the record surface as the bubbles from cavitation work to remove dirt, grease, and contaminants on my records. I clean 3 records at a time using just distilled water at 30 degrees for 7 minutes. If a record is particularly dirty I manually preclean each side using lint-free makeup removal pads and a 4:1 distilled water & isopropyl alcohol solution. This helps to loosen and remove surface dirt, but the vinyl may still have some discoloration left behind that no amount of cleaning is going to remove. After the Vevor is done, I wipe down each record with a clean microfiber cloth and stand them up in a vertical rack for drying. At this point the vinyl is as shiny and new as when first pressed. Once dry I mark each record inner sleeve with a “U” to indicate that the record has been ultrasonically cleaned and it goes back into my collection. After cleaning 15 records (5 cycles of 3 each) I run a cheap fish aquarium filter in the tank to remove any floating debris in the water. The water will discolor a bit, but is free of floating debris and ready for another round of cleaning. One hour later the records are dry and the water is cleaner and ready for more. I can do this a couple times before needing to change the water. I clean every record I get before I play it, including new records. It’s a bit time consuming, but extremely worth it if you value your records and want to hear them play as flawlessly as possible. Good stuff.
