Gut für das Geld. Nicht für den harten Alltagsgebrauch, aber perfekt für meine Bedürfnisse bei der Arbeit, wo ich gelegentlich längere Zierteile oder eine Leiter usw. tragen muss. Damit die beiden Pfosten jedoch weit genug voneinander entfernt sind, um effektiv zu sein, muss der vordere an der Vorderseite des LKWs montiert werden und der Werkzeugkasten auf der Ladefläche muss ziemlich weit nach hinten geschoben werden, um noch geöffnet werden zu können. Für mich ist das keine große Sache, für andere vielleicht schon. Aber das gilt unabhängig davon, für welche Version dieser Art von Träger Sie sich entscheiden. Insgesamt ein tolles Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

I'd say the biggest drawback to this design is the multipiece crossbar. The multi peace cross bar does allow you to add a little extra section in the middle, I think, but it doesn't make up for the fact that the joint loosens up due to the compressibility of the member and overall has less rigidity. I would not go so far as to say. It is bad, but there are similar products on the market that have a single peace cross bar. On the other hand the alternatives cost more and don't come with free shipping. This one should be adequate for me since I probably will only use it a couple times a year and the rest of the time it will be hanging on the wall in my shop. I do like the camper shell style hold down clamps that don't require drilling any holes in your truck bed. Those certainly cover most of the price of the unit.

Wind noise is very loud at 45 MPH and above. I wrapped electrical tape around the top of each post thinking that would help but it did not. Next step is to apply duck tape to cover the groves in the rails and post, if this helps I will remove the tape and fill the groves with caulking.

Overall, this is a very good product - especially for the price. If you happen to have a Honda Ridgeline, the clamps supplied won't fit your bed rails, so you will have to find a different way to mount it. I installed some strut channels on the sides of my truck bed (easy, due to existing mouting bolts) to which I bolted some angle brackets which the rack base bolts onto quite securely. Another slight problem is that racks whistle fairly loudly at highway speed, but it's only really noticeable with your windows or the sunroof open. The whistling is caused by the shape of the rack bar, but there's a product available which breaks up the wind flowing over them and supposedly makes them much quieter.

I am not not the most handy of men but I was able to install this rack easily. It does leave a threaded end upright and exposed. I am going to use a glue gun to cover it. If it came with covers for that, I would give a perfect score.

The product is worth the money. Your customer service has got to be the worst I've ever had to deal with, because of that I would rather go somewhere else, pay a few dollars more and not have to deal with you again.

Overall quality of rack and J Bolts is pretty good. My only complaint is the set screws that are used to hold the rack together. They are already rusting after 2 weeks and there is no way to face them toward the cab with the pieces given. Even if I could put them on the other side to hide them I’d be okay with that. I’m gonna have to go get some that won’t rust.
