Works nice. Would be better if it came with a better selection of hoses/adaptors for getting into different spots - but that's pretty easy to cobble together for a typical DIYer. Product does a very good job sucking oil/fluids out. I tried it on a differential with 90/140 gear lube and this unit pulled it right out of there. Works way better in pneumatic mode - but it's nice to have the option of a hand pump.

The oil extractor comes with two different extension tubes. The larger extension tube is too big to fit down into the dipstick tube so I'm sure it's meant for gear oil, power steering fluid, radiator fluid, transmission fluid, etcetera. The smaller extension tube does fit down the dipstick tube and it is long enough to reach the bottom of the oil pan on my pickup truck. Unfortunately, the two extension tubes cannot be combined together. My dipstick is 36\" long which leaves me a maximum of 11\" of extra tubing. The main tube is just long enough to allow me to work on my bone stock pickup truck. If I would have a 4x4 truck or taller tires, it probably wouldn't be long enough, so you would probably have to set the vacuum unit up on top of a table or something like that to at least get it up to the bumper height. The main and extension tubes are stiff and fight against you during use. This stiffness makes sense when you are trying to thread the small hose inside of a long metal tube, but for everything else, it is a pain in the butt. Ironically the dedicated brake fluid tube is soft and pliable and plenty long enough. Both extension tubes have a slip fit reducer adapter glued on to them. My smaller extension tube's adapter was loose and had broken glue. I would have preferred having extra adapters to go between the different sizes of the tubing and the main tube should be at least 4 - 5 feet long.

Overall this pump works well. I have had it for over 2 years and have used it to fill transmission fluid and differential/ transfercase fluid. My only complaint is the plastic fill cap cracks very easily even with minimal force and there is no replacement part for it as of yet.

Bought this for my Malibu. It is so low to the ground that it is difficult to change the oil. The smallest hose only went 8 inches down the dipstick. It will work for my pickup and my van but no luck with the Malibu.

Pues compre esta bomba o estractor porque el tornillo del carter me fue imposible sacarlo, el antiguo dueño o el ultimo mecanico que lo vio no se cuanta fuerza uso para apretarlo. Entonces compre esta bomba/estractor antes que las "automaticas" y la verdad que muy bien !! La he usado una sola vez, pero sin problemas y extrajo si no todo el aceite casi todo y sin mayor trabajo.

Worked great! price is hard to beat! wish the tank graduations were in (freedom units :quarts / gallons / beers) but they are in units of Soda pop (liters) but I will forive them this time.

I've used this twice. Once to remove automatic transmission fluid from the transmission. And again to pump fluid into my differential to replace the differential fluid. This makes the job super easy and works well, And much quicker than doing it by hand! However I am experiencing two different quality problems. The top that screws onto the base is warped and doesn't want to thread on properly. Causes the lid not to seal properly onto the canister. And secondly the quick release on the top is very difficult to use. The quick release on the hose works perfectly well. So it seems like maybe there's some sort of quality control issue.

This fluid extractor worked great when attached to my air compressor. The included extension was need but worked for the transmission fluid of my 2007 Durango and my 2011 Ram P/U. My only gripe, which is very irritating, is the storage cylinder had this angled line that states to Not pour out your fluids too fast and allow your fluid level to go above this line. This is great because you don’t want nasty sticky fluids to get clogged in your vacuum pump. Problem is this design! I was Nowhere Near the line as I only had 6.5L of fluid to pour out; however ATF started spewing out of both sides of the manual pump handle! There was zero reason for this. Now when I pump the manual lever, residual ATF leaks out of both sides of the pump handle.
