My husband and I bought this for a stray cat that lives on the construction site he's currently working on. It's great! The cat, that we've named Lightning because he bolts every time my husband approaches, loved it immediately! We put it together at home, which was super easy, and took it to the site a couple of days later where we lined the inside with styrofoam and a plastic tote that we cut a hole into. We put a towel inside with some treats to entice him but there probably wouldn't have been any need. He's been using it since until we're able to get him rescued! The only thing that wasn't great, was the off gasping when we first took it out of the packaging. Our cat wouldn't go near it and she always climbs on top of everything. We didn't notice the strong smell after the two fays, but we were probably just used to it. Lightning didn't seem to mind it, as long as he gets a warm blanket and treat in it everyday.

Fantastic product insulated cat house, and very easy to make up aswell. Overall very happy customer.thinking of buying 2 more.

I’m not entirely sure how I feel about this. I had purchased it for a feeding station for a few abandoned cats in the neighbourhood. It was super easy to put together. I love the lifting roof idea. There is room for a feeder and water bowl. It will protect from wind and possibly rain if it falls straight on to the roof. So here’s why I’m not sure. The wood of the walls and floor is made of is the same thin sheeting like a manufactured fence. So over time it will shrink and start to separate…like my fence. It does need to be varnished/sealed. Which I am doing. I’m not sure how this is going to do in the winter at -30. But, it does give some protection to the elements. So, some is better than none. I think due to the type of material on the roof it may help retain quite a bit of heat when the sun does shine. I am happy with it. And after a varnish and a little bit of extra insulation the outside fur babies will love it.

This summer I had two cats visiting my property, and was not sure if they were feral or not. With winter approaching I figured I would buy one of these kits to give at least one of them a dry quiet place to try and stay warm. The unit was very easy to put together. I had one problem with the hinge for the roof that opens (bracket was on wrong side) but was able to modify it and move it to the right edge instead of the left. Used some of the thin styrofoam packaging that came in the box and a bit of seam tape to help insulate beneath the floor. Looks good, nice size. I have not received a visitor as of yet who wanted to take residence but maybe over time. May drill a hole and add a small light as a heat source later possibly.

This is the second thing that hasn’t arrived. They say it’s arrived. I don’t have any documentation that said it was even on my porch much less arrived and since one of my first orders never showed up I just let that go but now this I’m I’m out over $100 now so thank you for no thank you I’d add a picture, but since it never arrived, well there is no picture
