I had a couple of leaks in my basement, used veiga fittings and this tool from vevor and all sealed up no leaks. Plus this tool was a fraction of the price from competitive brands. I tested this tool out and crimped a veiga coupling, it held 1000 psi no problem no leaks. I dont recommend that though. Excellent tool, quality made better than the competition.

This is really something you need today. No batteries, no heavy dies. Just a simple, to-use, get-the-job-done tool that works every time. I love this more than my other, similar, more expensive tools. And the price is just so low I almost feel guilty having paid so little.

As a homeowner/landlord I have occasional copper pipe repair jobs, and often there is enough water in the lines to preclude soldering. I've used SharkBite fittings, but they are not 100% reliable, are costly, and are sometimes difficult to install. I've considered a battery operated press fitting tool, but can't justify $800-$3000. Since I have had good experience with a cheap Chinese battery terminal crimping tool I thought I'd give this a try. I've only used it for approx. a dozen fittings, but it's worked flawlessly on Viega ProPress fittings. Most of my jobs are in tight spaces so the long-arm manual crimpers wouldn't work. This unit has perhaps 8-10" of narrow body above the pump handle, which allows it to get into tight spaces between joists, and the effort to pump the hydraulic crimp is not too difficult for my 80 year old efforts. The machining quality of the components seems surprisingly good, and I suspect it will serve very well for a long time. The included manual is abysmal, however. Even though it is clearly for this model, and includes diagrams and photos, the operating instructions are for the non-hydraulic version (for example, it says to "extend the telescoping arms"). It seems that Vevor should consider hiring a proofreader.
