I bought this pump because I dug a shallow well and I need to drain the hole a few times to clean up the water. The first thing you need to do is buy 20 feet of rigid suction hose and install the strainer on one end “cheap plastic so don’t drop it on a rock” and the screw on connector on the other end. Attach the other screw on connector to the discharge hose and connect to pump. The washers that come with the hose connectors will fall out when you disconnect them so be careful. Also I had to heat the suction line end with a heat gun to make it soft enough to clamp on to the connectors barbed fitting and I added an extra clamp because it was sucking air. The bottom of the well was 14 feet straight down. I poured a litre of water into the pump and started it up. Ten seconds later the end of the discharge hose was flying around shooting water everywhere. Very impressive! If I had to use a pump like this frequently I’d probably buy one that’s higher in quality but for the few times I’m going to use it you just can’t beat the value. The closest rental shop is 60 minutes away so two rentals is more than what I paid for the pump. Definitely worth it for me.

Works well. Exactly what I needed. Comes mostly assembled and was easy to put my existing banjo fittings on. Has good suction and runs flawlessly thus far

I filled with oil and gas and started up with a half pull of the rope and runs amazing! Very easy to start and worked well. I did notice it doesn't put out as much discharge pressure as my old pump did. Still gets 5 stars, because it works perfect for what I'm using it for. If you need lots of pressure, maybe get a bigger pump. Well worth the price.

Bought this pump and was by far the best packaged item I have ever had delivered! The quality and fit and finish of the pump is great as well. I put oil, gas into the engine and started right up no issues. I have used it a couple times with clean water out of a tank and it will move the water fast! Can't find a better pump for the money.

I would have given it 5 stars but it didn't come with any directions. At least it was missing in the box I got. The video on the website was wrong. They put the discharge hose on the suction end. The screen collapsed when it sucked up some debris. I thought it had everything in it to get started but the suction line will need to be purchased. I probably would have purchased it from Vevor but I could not find it on the website. Harbor freight is the cheapest place to buy the suction hose. I recommend buying a metal screen for the end of it. It came packed probably better than anything that size that I have ever purchased. I am happy with all my purchases from this company.

Runs great. Nice rubber feet to keep it grounded. Have had no issues with it. Worked great even with a reducer to garden hose.
