Once you cut it it frays, so you’ll have to burn cut ends….fraying now in my beds. Price great, delivery time great.

Great price for what you get but not top quality. Somehow constricts in the sun, water barely permeates and the most annoying part, it shreds when you cut it and you end up with little plastic “hairs” hanging off that all need to be cut separately

We have a commercial garden. Thought we would give this a try. Now I have tons of it and can't use it. When opening it has a very strong smell and I concern about it leaching chemicals into the ground. So we rolled one out as a test. Staked it down every 6 foot. Next day the wind absolutely shredded it. Tried it on another garden. Staked it down every 12-18 inches and some held but the wind shredded the rest. I think it would work for weed barrier in a rock garden or somewhere with little to no wind.

First 20 feet was cut correctly. Rest of the fabric become a tube, either use as double layer or require a lengthy bursting cut.

The material should be fabric permeable instead it is plastic not permeable and smells like asphalt

The good: Easy to install and reasonably priced. The bad: Some of the edges were fraying as I unrolled it for installation, but what bothers me more is the low permeability of water through it. There was standing water in the low spots after raining that finally left due to evaporation more than passing through to the ground. This is unlike the fabric I have used in the past. As a test, I created a low spot on the top with my hand under it and poured some water on it. My hand under it never even got damp after at least a minute. The ground underneath it wasn't damp from the rain either. Tried the same thing with my previously installed barrier from a different vendor and my hand was wet in 10 seconds or less when applying the water. This quote is taken directly from the description of the product: "High Permeability: Our landscape fabric is designed with excellent permeability. You never need to worry about the water will be puddled on the top of the material. In addition, the sturdy structure of the fabric stops weed or grass from going through, effectively inhibiting weed or grass growth." If you need barrier that doesn't let much (if any) water through it, I think it would work just fine. In my case it isn't really going to work as I had anticipated and I'm going to need to remove and replace it. I do have more limited use for this type of barrier, so I'll repurpose it for those usage cases. I think it is more of a bad description than a bad product unless I have a defective lot. I suspect there are a lot of people that use it in cases where the permeability of water through it doesn't matter one way or the other.

you can't cut it to size without it shredding. makes a mess.

It will do the job but a lot of fraying when cut. More irritates more than anything. Works but wouldn’t buy again

Frabric was extremely frayed and torn on the edges right out of the box. The landscape stables will hold it but the paper rips right around the staples. Don't waste your money.
