Nach dem vollständigen Aufblasen kann es 48–78 Stunden lang aufrecht stehen. Da der Temperaturunterschied zwischen Tag und Nacht dazu führt, dass sich das Entleerungsventil entleert, um die Luftsäule bei hohen Temperaturen zu schützen, muss etwa alle 3 Tage etwas Gas nachgefüllt werden.
