I have used a few of these bits and as long as you watch rpm and use cutting oil they operate very well in mild steel.

Bought these 3 bits thinking one would not be enough to finish the job.
When drilling bucked on tractor I only used one bit, drilled 7 holes and the bit cuts just as good as the first hole.
