I usually drink rain water that is captured in a roof fed tank every time it rains. I decided to purchase the water distiller during a recent drought when I was about to switch over to using municipal reticulated water. I did not want my body to be poisoned by the disinfectants and fluoride that are added to reticulated water. The Vevor Countertop Water Distiller fits nicely into a corner of the bench. The process of distillation is fast enough to provide for the requirements of 3 people. At first I was quite surprised by the amount of sludge that is left in the boiling chamber. I clean it out each time with a wet paper towel. The chemical residues from the manufacturer do have a bad smell, this problem I resolved by soaking all of the components in a bucket of water and sodium bicarbonate for 24 hours.

It works great, there are no more white calcium stains in my glass kettle.

Works well, included jug is huge, doesnt need as much descaling as I thought it would. Primarily use this to feed distilled water into a cpap machine. Cheaper and less of a pain in the butt than hunting down distilled water from the shops.

I received the package fairy quickly and was satisfied without the packaging. Good price for what you get and the glass jug goes right into the dishwasher for easy cleaning. Due to higher levels of calcium in the water here mine has got some calcium scale build up, i just need to give it a solid clean with the stuff they included in the box.

This product is pretty good, highly recommended. If you want to avoid fluoride added by Australian Gov and other dirty stuff in water pipe, it's a pretty good choice.

Quality construction, easy to set up and use, good value and gives me a supply of toxin-free water daily. Even a bottle of so called 'spring water' left a white powdery residue behind after distillation, likely chlorine. Why pay hundreds more for water filters, when this device can give you pure water cheaply and efficiently.
