I purchased the Vevor Hot Tub Handrail for my 85 y/o mother to aid in balance climbing in and out of her spa. I found it on a Google search and the price was right. It is well made, HD steel & aluminum constructed with welded pieces that assemble easily with bolts and Allen wrenches. Once assembled we found that our spa was sealed to the concrete patio so the Handrail plate (base) would not slide under the hot tub. That fix was drilling 4 holes in the plate and the concrete and using 4 lag bolts & shield anchors (not included ) to secure it to the ground. My mothers only criticism is when loosening the 2 bolts to turn the handle 180º over the spa (to climb out) the entire handle slides down and doesn't remain the same height it was set at. However the stability and function of the railing to keep oneself balanced it does what it is supposed to do. Thank you Vevor!

Slips under the spa while empty and once the spa was filled - doesn’t move at all. Makes it MUCH safer to climb in and out of the spa.

All went well and happy with the product. The nuts for the base Stanton are very tight and can easily cross thread and will not tighten fully. It does need some further stability to ensure safety of non wobble. Overall ok and probably the cheapest safety rail.

this has good adjustability and padding. Bear in mind there is some flex to it because it has a long vertical pipe with no upper stability. All stability is at the very bottom, plus the bottom mounting plate itself has a small amount of flex too. In general though, it's useful and serves the purpose without having to put holes in the spa cabinet.

This handrail is in serious need of improvement. The issue is with installation of the down tube. There are two aluminum bolts soldered on to the tube. The first time I tried to assemble this, one bolt stripped completely and the other broke right off. I wasn't using much force--but too much. Vevor shipped a replacement tube. I managed to very carefully tighten the first nut to the point it would compress the lock washer. The second nut was touch and go--I had to use a vice grip to try to apply inward pressure to the nut so it would tighten rather than stripping the threads. I managed to compress the lock washer slightly and didn't want to press my luck. The issue is not only the soft threads of the bolt--it is also that when the component is powder coated, the coating on the threads impedes the nut, causing it to seize and then strip the threads rather than tighten. I tried using a lubricant, which may have helped a little. I didn't have a thread cutter! But really threads need to be re-cut so that a nut can tighten. The use of a soft aluminum bolt here creates real problems. Other than that, it seems to be working as intended, and I hope that those attachment points will hold up over time.

After assembly of this handrail, I bolted it to my deck and it seemed secure. But after using it once it wobbles! That's because the braces that go to the post are not manufactured to fit flat on the bottom against the plate. The brace allows it to wiggle. This product is not worth buying if you're looking for reliable support.

This item is not safe to bare any weight on, especially while entering or exiting water. The bolt broke immediately while fastening it to the stand and the bottom plate is not thick enough, it bends easily. The height adjustment only pinches to the post so it may slide down while a person puts wright on it.
