I got this due to hard water in our campground. This is well water and not great because it leaves spots on stuff and wears out the anode rod in our water heater. I found out immediately after hooking this up that soft water makes your hair feel cleaner after showering. Who knew. This was easy to install and does it's job right away. totally worth the money.

Nice and easy to set up. Everything I needed and more was in the package. Took a full day before we felt the full benefits of this wster softener. Three weeks down the road it is working extremely well.

I haven't had a chance to use this yet but it sure looks good. The extra components all seem to be of high quality and I expect them to work just fine. The price was excellent, the product arrived on time and I have already recommended this to a friend who also bought one.

This is working well for our RV. Makes a difference in our water at every park. We also filter our water do to most RV parks have a reputation of not the best water. It is working well, takes up a little space but fits well next to our filter system. It took my husband some time to mount it but it's worth it.

For a portable system it does a good job. It's heavy but durable. It's easily connected and the supplied parts are of good quality. Definitely doesn't leave a spot free finish, but I live in Indiana where the water is extraordinarily hard. Make sure you regenerate often. At about .$0.63 a container for iodized table salt, $1.26 every month isn't a wallet squeeze so the half hour or so it takes to do it is well worth the benefits to do it once a month or so. I've noticed a large reduction in calcium build up on my faucets and sinks in the RV, my hair feels softer and soap actually suds now! I connected an in-line sediment filter just before the unit and a charcoal filter on the other side and have good tasting water in the trailer. For detailing work, I still need to squeegee or wipe down a surface but if it dries on it is easily removed now, whereas I would need a chemical to remove water spots prior to its use. All in all it's a good unit and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a portable unit.

The small hose end clamps don’t hold. Both ends came off and flooded the lot. Had to put hose clamps on both sides to get it to work.

I ran this for 3,400 gallons total, recharging it was simple. This softener is a night and day difference it works super awesome! ......now the unfortunate review reason.... After multiple attempts to find a hose that would not leak and spending an unnecessary amount of money on hoses the male end garden hose adapter leaks. There are not enough threads on it to make a proper seal between adapter and hose gasket. The face of a hose becomes flush with the male adapter end not allowing for further tightening. I attempted using tape and used several sizes of hose gaskets to no avail. It leaked multiple gallons and after replaceing with several hoses before realizing this is a product flaw not a consumer issue. I think my next step is to remove the what I hope is a NPT to GHT adapter that goes into the body and finding fittings that may work. Currently it is out of service due to to much water leakage and frustration of my failure to realize I bought to many different hoses and gaskets. I hope this review helps either product developers or potential future consumers. (Green in picture reflects the algea build up from leakage)

Both sides leak non stop right out of the box. Tried teflon tape and put new rubber washers in. After messing with this, it also completely ruined my new fresh water hose. At no point did this work!!!
