This 12" gable fan was easy to install and is quite powerful driven by the modest sized 20"x25" solar panel that came with it. In fact, I need to slow it down with a fan speed controller. The mounting hardware for the solar panel is strong, and was also easy to install. The wire from the panel to the thermostat is lengthy, about 10 feet. Fan speed varies a lot depending on solar exposure, so I am adding a battery system and fan speed controller. The solar charge controller and fan speed controller cost less than $20, but I haven't got a battery yet. I hope to get constant moderate speed performance with endurance through passing clouds, and I will be able to augment the system with a 120V battery charger for extended use during cloud cover season.

We purchased this fan for our off the grid cabin in Northern NY. We installed it in the 2nd floor loft window. We cut a piece of plexiglass that fit the window opening. Then we cut a hole for the fan. It works great! We definitely noticed a difference in temperature in the loft and house. The motor is quiet. Even on a cloudy day the fan worked well on solar power. We plan to use it in the winter too because the heat from our gas fireplace gets trapped in the loft making it uncomfortably warm.

Im using this as a makeshift ventillator for two horses in an outside stable and bought it before the heatwave started. It was easy to install, i switched the + and - connectors so the fan would turn opposite when it was hot (30+) and when it was very hot (40+) i used it as normal to remove heated air from shelter they can choose to stand in. It worked perfect and the horses routinely stand in front of the fan and enjoy the breeze. The temperature guage was a perfect addition. The fan was delivered on the day it was said to be delivered without and delays which was perfectly in time before the heat wave. The horses stand in that shelter all day sometimes and only come out for water or grass breaks. We have noticed they are inside alot more now that its hotter. You have 3 very happy customers! Die Kabel könnten etwas länger sein und die Solarzelle ist etwas zu klein bei bewölkten Wetter liefert sie zu wenig Strom

Niet verwacht dat dit zo goed werkt. Eenvoudige plaatsing. Er is nog een tweede model op zonne-energie. Ik raad de gevelventilator aan.

Es el Segundo que compro y aunque el primero parece que a veces pierde algo de potencia , contento en general.

This is a very sturdy metal fan. I installed it on my shed to exhaust the heat radiating through the roof. This guy works great! I'm very happy with it. It works with solar during the day and also plugs into a wall outlet to keep running at night if you need it to with a temperature controller.

Great little fan

You're better off going with the all metal fan. Unless you just don't have the room.
