I bought this camera system to be able to inspect my own pipes. I live in southwest Florida and my iron pipes under the house are 45 years old. I have an easily accessible, clean out near the septic, and tried feeding a 50 foot snake in From that side to open a blockage. I could feed it in the main line and verified with another person listening in the house that it was getting all the way to the furthest toilet. The last time I had a blockage, we hired one of the over advertised big players in southwest Florida to come and clear it, and they insisted the only way to clear it was to get on the roof and feed a auger down from the top… That definitely cleared it, but only at the cost of having a 400 pound plumber and his 150 pound power auger traipsing across my new Roof and with a bill for $950. I decided I’ll be damned if I’ll pay these jokers to come and run an auger through my . I decided I’ll be damned if I’ll pay these jokers to come and run a auger through my drain at $450 an hour.I was able to clearly see the plug from the clean out entrance with this camera. It worked perfectly. I went to Home Depot and rented an auger for four hours for about $40 and fixed it myself. I will have this camera for the next time, and I know for sure that my pipes aren’t “ corroded like all of them are” as the plumber suggested, trying to get me to spend $16,000 to have them relined. Money well spent.

This sewer camera is a life savor if you have clogged pipes. The cable is stiff enough to push down the pipe, though it might be to stiff to push through a P-trap or something like that. For larger cables and basic angles it is more than enough. The camera quality isn't going to blow you a way but it is not a wedding camera it is a tool. Does its job of finding a clog great, and illuminates the pipe to an adequate level. Great value for the price, especially when you compare it to the cost of a plumber to do the same. Would be nice if it had an easy way to measure the distance, but it can be done the ole fashion way.

Used it initially to inspect a storm sewer lateral, but could not get past 39 feet horizontally.. Assumed that attaching it to an electrical fish wire, I could probably push it a lot further. But that’s a lot of extra work.. The 120° view from the camera was OK to reasonable, but felt it was not as good as I was expecting. Overall, I’m satisfied as I was able to prove the pipe was intact and also saved three times as much money by not having to call in a contractor. The bonus is now I have the camera for further pipe inspections if required..

It’s a camera. It’s cheap. It’s good. And it’s small. I envisioned a good size real and unit. This will work, but it’s small. If you are going to be scoping 2-3-4 or larger pipe. Get the bigger one. For 1-2-3 inch pipe this will do fine. 4 or larger and you’ll probable sit low in the pipe and in the water level of any standing water in the pipe. Not upset. It did the job. But definitely missed my expectations and hope.

Broken after 2 weeks off use the screen run off of battery and never work again. Try to return it or buy just the screen but I they said I can’t.
