Sturdy, thick steel lifting tongs - Pretty heavy too. A great value for the price. I've moved a number of stumps and log sections with these tongs and they worked just fine, with the sharp teeth on the tongs biting into the wood with no issues. Would definitely buy them again - A timesaver for sure!

These things are so cool! We had a tornado a couple months ago. I bought these Tongs, and they made short work at moving logs. I even moved giant stumps that were tore out of the ground,, by picking them up by the roots. I can think of so many uses for these things. Well worth the hundred bucks I spent.

I'm not going to lie, a grapple on a tractor or skid steer would be much better, but seeing that's not in my budget and no more than these cost, I thought I'd give it a try. Two people would make things go faster, I only moved a few logs and never could get the jaws to open on it's own up to pick one up, maybe with practice I can resolve that. Definitely had to get off to get it opened to leave the log. A couple things noticed today, #1, the log really needs to be up off the ground a bit so the jaws can get under it, #2, you'll probably need a "cable hook" which is more open than a regular chain hook, plus the cable hooks have the little spring loaded clip that'll keep it from coming off. Assembly "directions"? LOL!! Study the picture in the book. It took me maybe 15 minutes to get the swivel/arm assembly bolted on, I never figured out what the directions meant by "Wooden Hall Tree". Also note to not over tighten the bolts, it needs to be able to move freely. I ran the nuts to touching the washer and then backed it off about 1/4 turn. One last thing, mine arrived 3 days earlier than promised too!!

The construction on this item is very good, heavy duty, and it's definitely going to stand up to any use I have for it. I combined it with a heavy duty tractor boom and use it to snags logs out of the woods easily and skid them to where I can manage them if better. .You will not be disappointed with this one.
