I don't write reviews, but this reformer deserves it! My expectations of what I would get for this price were far exceeded as soon as I saw the quality in person and began using it. It came extremely well packaged: wrapped and in a wooden crate. The maple wood is beautiful! Not short wood pieces glued together for each side, but one solid piece with a beautiful grain. The vinyl padding is of high quality and soft to the touch. The inner material of the straps that is against the skin is a very soft velvet or velour material. As for function, I'm blown away by how silently the carriage rides along the rails! I work out to pilates reformer workout videos on YouTube, and not to disrespect other brands (I won't name here except to say they're high end, expensive, well known brands) but I can really hear the instructor's carriage riding along her reformer rails quite loudly, and can't hear my own at all! It's a beautiful piece of equipment that is well made and will last me a very long time. The only wish I have is that the carriage stoppers would have been closer to the foot bar end of the reformer than they are. When I return my carriage to them they are closer to me than I expect and I sometimes bump into them. To adjust for this I raised up my foot bar to just one stop past vertical. This helps me to not hit the stoppers on my return. Outside of that one tweak, I really have zero complaints for this reformer that cost less than half of other popular brands, but is higher quality in some areas that I already mentioned and that I really appreciate. (On a side note, I had to chat with Vevor's customer service a few times while my reformer was being prepared and during its transit. Every time customer service did a great job of answering all my questions and keeping me informed. My reformer was delivered on time as well by a local freight delivery service that contacted me for my delivery appt. day and time as soon as they received the crate.)

I’ve used the reformers at Club Pilates and this one is in my opinion a better machine.

I was nervous to spend so much money on this (non-folding) reformer, but after reading many reviews and hearing mostly good things, even though most reviews were on the foldable or less expensive ones, I decided to just take the plunge. I am INCREDIBLY impressed with the quality of everything about this reformer - from all the parts and materials used, how it was mostly all put together on arrival, and how it was packaged. I'm surprised it did not cost twice as much!! But don't tell them that!! ;) This reformer is even better than the one I have been using at the yoga/pilates studio for the last year! :) It is so well made and smooth and quiet - I love it! I put all remaining parts on myself and it was fairly easy to do - took about an hour. One particular reason I bought this one is because it has 3 rows of knobs to put the springs on to give them more tension. I've only ever seen 2 rows max. And this one has 6 springs - 2 of each colour. You can do so many things on a reformer, but with the added weight tension available, even men can get a good workout on it. :) The unit was in one large crate on a long pallet that the driver unloaded into my carport. After spending a little bit of time trying to pry the crate open the wrong way, I figured out the right way and it got easier. There are no instructions about that so I will briefly explain because it's not easy to recognize at first - the lid has metal edging with slits in it and the crate has metal edging with little flaps sticking up that go into the slits on the lid and get hammered down to hold the lid on. If you reverse that and pry all the metal flaps up as straight as possible, the lid should come off in one piece. Once opened, two of us had to bring the frame into the house (it's quite heavy being solid wood), and I brought the carriage and all other boxes/pieces in myself. The only two slightly negatives were that the tracking info did not update for several days after it shipped. This didn't help me feel super great about my decision - hoping I didn't get scammed since I had never heard of VEVOR before!! When I checked in with customer service they said they'd have to look into it more, but they offered me $60 refund for the 'inconvenience'. That was nice but made me a little skeptical, wondering if I took the refund it would somehow void any possible full refund if it never showed up etc. (since I bought the extra 'piece of mind' shipping/tracking insurance)! Anyway they came back the next day with an update and it looked like it was only a few more days away from delivery, and I was satisfied with that so I did not take the $60! Delivery was 9 days total. The 2nd negative, which isn't a reflection of the unit, is that I guess there's no industry standard to have all spring weights on all reformers made to have same color coding. My studio has red (heaviest), blue (med) and yellow (light), and this one has red (heaviest), yellow (med) and green (light).
