I have a document scanner and a whole slew of TV Guides, magazines and some paperback books from the 1970's that I wanted to scan and convert to PDF so I could have them on my iPad when I travel. I used to go to Staples and pay them $3 to cut the binding off of each book. I saw this and figured it would actually be cheaper to do it myself and after reading the reviews figured that I would try it. Well, I'm extremely happy. I've already cut and scanned at least 35 books/magazines. The cuts are clean and the scans are coming out perfectly. It took me about 20 minutes to unpack it and put it together and it's a bit larger and heavier than I expected but that just confirms the solid construction and quality.

I read all the reviews for this product and many others like it prior to purchasing. One review that stuck in my mind mention in all caps several times the you can cut your finger off. I must say you would have to be some kind of special idiot to cut your finger off with this machine, it's possible I guess but you would have to be trying. I could not be happier with this. I cut hundreds of stacks every week, a stack of 300 is effortless, have not tried 400 yet but do not expect a problem. I have been using a paper trimmer for a couple years now, actually 4 of the same model because I had to replace it every 6-12 months, at $40 each they cost more than this unit and only cut 15-20 sheets at a time. Worked perfectly for me right out of the box, no adjustments. Directions are minimal but really how much do you need to know, I was up and running in 5 minutes. I do not have any reservations recommending this unit, top notch!

I bought that guillotine to cut up the back of books and scripts (first removing the hardcover if there is any, of course!) or to get a clean edge on the under side of scripts and books who where well used, so my fujitsu ScanSnap 1500m can better feed in the sheets. It works quite good, the cut is clean and straight. The plastic cap on the crank handle is made out of hard plastic and it was broken when I opened the packet. I repaired it with some glue but that piece is absolutely not necessery to work with that machine. Now I hope the blade lasts a long time! :) Off topic: The ABBYY OCR that is delivered with the ScanSnap 1500m is s***, it decreases the quality of the PDF. But thats no problem, juste use the OCR in Acrobat Pro 9, that is also delivered with the ScanSnap 1500m.

Muito boa Guilhotina, apenas tem um problema: a peça móvel da medida, não segura. não tem força. podia ter as medidas com milímetro a milímetro, apenas tem dois em dois. Mas a qualidade parece muito boa para o preço que tem, vale bem mais.

Buon prodotto come uso ufficio per modesti impieghi. Facile da usare e con un minimo di attenzione preciso nei tagli rispettando le misure desiderate. Buon lavoro.

Ik heb deze machine gekocht omdat ik regelmatig A4 Kleurpapier 240g moet versnijden naar A5 of A6.. Weet dat je bij gebruik heel nauwlettend moet zien dat je guillotine mes goed aansluit tegen de rand van de machine. Anders snijdt deze niet juist. Gebruik ook niet meer dan 5 à 6bladen van die dikte.
