I was somewhat skeptical to purchase this particular oil vac, but I decided to chance it because I didn't want a manual hand pump. I will say the instructions included are just about useless. They are clearly a poor ai English conversion. After assembling the various oil draw tubes, and after replacing whatever asian air line fittings it had with standard automotive quick connects, I set to figuring out how to use it. For anyone reading this, after attaching the oil pump to the tank, you must 1) close the drain valve and drain air pump valve. 2) close the oil draw tube valve ( where the dipstick connector is) 3) open the air filter valve ( behind the copper air screen) 4) connect air line to the vacuum pump and then open the air valve beside the oil pump. 5) let vacuum pressure get to 6mb (almost to the edge of the green range on the vacuum gauge), then open the valve on the oil dipstick and let the oil pump into the tank 6) when pumping is complete oil vacuum gauge will drop. Turn off air valve on oil vacuum pump. 7) to drain tank, close oil vacuum pump line on dipstick, close air valves on both sides of vacuum pump, then connect air line to drain line pump (valve closed). Open drain valve first and place drain tube into container for used oil THEN open air valve and let tank pump down. NOTE: when tank gets close to empty pump will sputter and oil will splatter out if you're not careful. Overall I'm happy with the way this pumped the oil out of my inboard boat engine, the largest plastic tube slid right into the dipstick tube on the engine and pulled all the oil out with no mess. The only drawback I see is if you needed a longer suction tube on the tank itself it could be hard to maneuver the tank. Also the hook on the drain isn't the most convenient to directly drain out the oil into another container but I made it work. One other note, the storage tube for all the various draw tubes doesn't have a capped bottom, so the tubes will drag on the ground and also drip oil if you're not paying attention. Good little unit, and waaaay better then doing it manually, with almost no mess 🙂

Ich habe das Gerät nun schon mehrmals benutzt und bin zufrieden damit. Es besteht aus einem Metalltank mit Absperrventilen an jedem Schlauch und einem Rückschlagventil. Dadurch konnte kein Vakuum entweichen, als ich den Lufteinlass offen ließ und die Luftleitung abtrennte. Der Adapter aus Kunststoff gefällt mir nicht, und ich finde keine Alternative, außer das Gerät komplett zu ersetzen. Da der Tank nur fünf Gallonen fasst, muss man beim Herausziehen des Schlauchs vorsichtig sein, da der Extraktor aufgrund seines geringen Gewichts leicht umkippen kann. Er lässt sich aber gut transportieren; ich hebe ihn einfach an und stelle ihn dorthin, wo er gebraucht wird. Ich habe überlegt, die Räder zu entfernen oder anzupassen, damit man ihn einfach auf den Boden stellen kann.

I have used it on multiple occasions now and like using this item. It is a metal tank with shutoff valves on each hose and has a check valve so when air line is disconnected it did not allow vacuum to escape when I left the airline inlet valve open. I'm not crazy about the adapter coupler being plastic and I'm not finding any replacement options besides replacing the item as a whole. Being only five gallons you have to be careful where you're pulling the hose out the extractor will tip over because it is light weight. How ever it is easy to move around I just pick it up and move it to where it is needed and thought about adapting or removing wheels to be something that just gets set on the ground.

Im Großen und Ganzen bin ich zufrieden. Ich habe das Gerät jetzt schon für ein paar Ölwechsel benutzt und es funktioniert recht gut. Die einzigen Kritikpunkte sind der zu kurze Saugschlauch – er reicht nicht bis zum Peilstabrohr meines F150, wenn das Gerät auf dem Boden steht – und die kleinen, minderwertigen Rollen, die das Gerät auf dem Boden instabil und kippanfällig machen. Ansonsten ist es für den Preis wirklich gut. Es verfügt sogar über eine Vorrichtung zum Ablassen des Öls aus dem Tank unter Druckluft, was das ähnliche ältere Modell von Harbor Freight nicht konnte.

Mostly good, I've used it for a couple of oil changes now and it works pretty well. The only complaints are that the suction hose is too short - it won't reach the dipstick tube on my F150 when the unit is on the ground, and the small low quality casters make the unit feel unstable on the ground and prone to tipping over. Otherwise it's very nice for the money. It even has a provision for draining the oil from the tank under air pressure, which the similar older model from harbor freight never did.

Funktioniert gut. Bedienungsanleitung völlig unverständlich. 10L Öl abgesaugt, ging richtig gut. Dünne Röhrchen grenzwertig, sehr langsam. Anschlüsse Druckluft leider nicht EU Standard, muss ich noch umbauen.
