Sucking the fluids out the top rather than jacking it up, get a catch pan, wrenches, etc. Is so much faster. I will often build a dike with a tarp around the hydraulic equipment I work on. Because at work oil spills are a big deal, and when hydraulic fail it is usually a big mess. I can take stuff apart and not concern myself with all the fluid loss since I can pick up the edge of the tarp and drain it all to one side and then suck it all up without any hitting the ground.

Great pice of kit, the pump handle i thought was a little stiff /dry so i took off the top and applied grease on the handle from both sides (inside and outside) this made a great difference and will be kinder to the seals. Overall im extremely happy with the construction and application of the product

Unfortunately, a fluid extractor will not work on a General Motors 5.3L engine. A baffle in the oil pan prevents the tube from reaching the oil. I should have researched the subject before buying one.

Have serviced two automatic truck transmissions so far. Should have bought one years ago. Works perfectly, used the pneumatic feature so no need to pump, saves a ton of time

Recently bought a 2004 Mercedes CLK 500 Convertible and didn't want to be laying on the floor draining the engine oil. Bought this fluid extractor and used it to drain the oil through the dip stick tube. Worked great with my air compressor! Don't use too much air pressure or the extractor will start to collapse. There is a small valve on the extractor you can use to adjust the air pressure. Since the oil filter is changed from above, I was able to do the entire oil change standing in front of the car. Don't need to worry about the drain plug, crush washer, etc. I'll be using this on all my various engines going forward.

Ich fahre einen Audi 3.0 V6, der eher für die Ölabsaugung als für den Ölwechsel ausgelegt ist. Der Ölwechsel selbst ist allerdings unnötig kompliziert. Man benötigt eine Dreikantnuss, einen Kreuzschlitzschraubendreher und einen Torx-Schraubendreher, nur um alle Befestigungselemente an der unteren Abdeckung zu lösen und an die Ablassschraube zu gelangen. Anschließend braucht man noch einen Inbusschlüssel, um die Ablassschraube zu entfernen. Mit diesem Produkt konnte ich den Schlauch problemlos in das Peilstabrohr einführen und das gesamte Öl (7 Liter) in weniger als 5 Minuten absaugen, ohne etwas zu verschütten. Da sich der Ölfilter oberhalb des Motors befindet, muss ich das Auto nicht aufbocken und darunterkriechen. Der Ölwechsel dauert jetzt nur noch ein Viertel der Zeit. Die Vakuumpumpe ist sehr effizient und einfach zu bedienen. Sollte mein Luftschlauch einmal nicht passen, verwende ich einfach die Handpumpe.

Das ist ein äußerst nützliches Werkzeug. Es erleichtert das Leben ungemein, und mit ein paar Handgriffen an den Armaturen lassen sich auch vollständige Toilettenspülungen durchführen.
