Hello. The combination of Metric and SAE mandrels was a deal closing argument for me. I have had to use it two times only, but it takes good strong arms to install the rivets nuts in material thicker than 1/4". A steady set up (in a vise) is a must for fear of breaking something, think of this action as installing an extra super duty Pop Rivet in heavier material than in thin sheet metal. Lubricating every pivot point with 30 grade engine oil is not superfluous and will make the action much smoother and easier to do. Selling rivnuts of SAE sizes, in individual package of sizes and of varying quantities, easily available to order along with the tool would not be a nuisance either. Metric is nice but not used as much as SAE in Canada and evidently in usa My two cents of advice Have a nice day

This has been a very valuable tool and is easy to use. Great for hard to reach areas or blind areas where you cannot reach the back to use a nut. High quality carrying case makes it easy to carry and not lose any accessories. Would highly recommend buying extra pieces as you will be using this in all sorts of projects once you get used to the tool. I have used this in many of my old car restoration projects where the original fasteners are rusted beyond repair.

This tool kit is awesome comes in a nice case with instructions, very heavy duty worked great, a must have for installing a nut in locations unreachable, the only need for this kit would be a drill bit set for it but instructions list what size bit for each insert. Thanks

So, now that I've used it some my review. I ordered it to install some riv-nuts in my truck bed and haven't done them yet. But yesterday I installed 12 M-4 riv-nuts to replace the water heater in my RV. So I found that you may want to thread them on as far as you can. Then you are crushing it in place at beginning of the compression. I almost stripped a few out at last of the stroke. One pulled out so to my error too. Well worth what I paid for the tool along with many different sizes of riv-nuts. a good one for light duty use at least. I'll probably be using it for some solar panels frames when I make them. I'd recommend it for at least home use, it should last longer than I expect to be using it.
