I expected the minor dents and scratches.I cannot rotate the compound axis, as you can see there is measurement degrees but I cannot find a clamping/unclamping screw nor is there any information in the users manual. I would have put a 5 star review but this non moving compound is an issue with me.

buenas en este video os traigo mi opinión como profesional con varios años trabajando en el sector industrial con máquinas-herramientas profesionales , el torno vevor a pesar de su tamaño y apariencia está a la altura de lo que pagas , teniendo en cuenta que para su tamaño es el torno más barato del mercado lo que podemos obtener por su precio es una herramienta para uso no profesional orientada a hobby y aprender pero con unas sensaciones y calidades muy alejadas de tornos más profesionales y en mu opinión una herramienta que no es válida para trabajos profesionales de cara al público , pero si para gente que con poco presupuesto quiera aprender o hacer virutas sin importar el tiempo que le dediques .

Overall I’m very pleased with this purchase , my only regret was not getting a larger model , 8x14 sounds like enough room , but in reality the usable area is much smaller , especially when your trying to use a drill chuck etc . Everything seems very precise , and works quite well . The negatives, I dislike that the feed screw direction can’t be changed without removing the cover . There is also no way to adjust the gibs on the carriage. Overall I am enjoying this lathe .

The lathe is a good quality machine for a small lathe. Where it lacks is the poor instructions and poor quality photos in the instructions. Some instructions are unclear and some necessary instructions missed out entirely. Photos are sometimes low resolution and unclear. The positives are the metal gears. It is a bit sad that vevor does not have extra tool options for this lathe and you need to go to 3rd parties for tooling.

ok so overall its a good machine for beginner it can machine steel with light cuts . lots of clean up and adjustment before using it . bur for a first machine im happy
