This is my first AND LAST VEVOR product. I purchased the 1550W Mag Drill for a friend of mine who operates a machine and welding shop. He was working on a project for me and it required a mag drill which he did not have. I suggested purchasing a mag drill for him in exchange for his services and he happily agreed. The purchase experience was fine and the drill arrived on schedule and in good condition. It was well packaged. However, that was the only good part of this entire, horrible experience. When we attempted to use the drill to our dismay NONE OF THE ELEVEN boring bits supplied with the drill would fit into the drill chuck. The shank on every one of the eleven bits was too large and would not fit into the drill chuck at all. We purchased good quality boring bits from a local machine shop and they fitted the drill chuck precisely. Now for the really horrible part of the experience. I contacted VEVOR customer support and requested a return authorization for the boring bits and a replacement set. They refused to accommodate my request and instead gave me the royal run around saying their tech support people needed video and photos of the "problem". After fighting with them for several weeks repeatedly asking for a replacement set of boring bits they still refused to send me a replacement and instead offered my a (get this) $32.00 payment. The drill itself worked fine which is the only reason I rated it a 3 overall. The boring bits supplied with the drill were obviously poor quality, cheap bits and totally worthless. Like I said at the beginning of this review. This is my first and last VEVOR product purchase.

Overall it's ok for the money but there's definitely more to be desired. The magnet isn't very strong and drill tends to lift easily when applying pressure to cutter. It doesn't have a quick release for changing cutters which is rather inconvenient. Also with the variable speed it loses power as you turn down speed compared to other drills with a 2 speed gearbox.

right out of the box the drill was easy to use until we realize it did not have a variable speed switch on it, which makes it very difficult to drill certain things. Overall, the drill is really good qualities better than expected. We would like with the chuck in to be able to put longer drill bits but we’ve worked away around that overall good drill and a way better price.

Easy to use. Not variable speed which is a draw back. Extremely loud to use. Cutters were included which is nice. Ad was a little misleading about speed feature.

It came damaged. We talked to somebody via email about sending us the part and I could fix it but they haven't gotten back to me so I'm stuck in limbo

Don't make the mistake I did.. I over paid for this one. When I got all excited.. Not seeing it was not Variable speed and did not have reverse.. VEVOR helped me out by sending me the variable speed controller. I'm greatful.. Unfortunately the one I bought came in slightly damaged thru shipping.. I should have just sent it back and got the replacement with variable speed and reverse.. Instead of trying to figure out this one.

Cannot use regular twist drill bits, the travel will not allow it, a 1/2 inch bit touches my welding table with drill at the highest point. It came well packaged, I will know better next time.

This drill is advertised as having variable speed which it does not making it more difficult to drill larger holes

Does ok, doubt it will last. Just cheap no good. Vevor is the worst to deal with. Head moves side to side a lot. Would be half ok if you got more bits for the cheaper prices

The fitting drill vs spindle was so tight that it is really hard to mount the drill's. Furthermore the chuck adapter didn't even fit. -Comment - We have confirmed that each spindle is tested before leaving the factory, and only those within the standard range are shipped. If you cannot provide a video of the spindle measurement, we cannot make a judgment at this time. Please try using sandpaper to mark the inside of the spindle to enlarge the inner bore. -Hey, the manufacturer should have fine polished the inside. I think i have to sandpaper down the chuck adapter to make it even go in, phew. Not satisfied at all.
