I was planning to purchase the UnderCover Swing Case brand of toolboxes when I came across these. For some reason these Vevor boxes for Tundras were priced very low on the day that I looked, and I couldn't not try them for that price. They arrived well packaged and undamaged. Upon examining them I decided to reinforce the hinge to box area before installing them. From the factory there are just 4 rivets holding the metal hinge to the plastic box, and that design leaves something to be desired in my opinion. I added 3 extra bolts to the metal hinge where it attaches to the box (originally had just 2 rivets). I also added 3 more bolts with huge fender washers on the plastic end of the box adjacent to where the hinge attaches. There is a large steel plate on the inside of the box there, and with the extra fender washers on the outside of the boxes I think this area will now be strong enough for the long haul. Installing the hinges to the bed with the included self-tapping screws wasn't an option for me. First, I don't like using self-tapping screws in thin sheet metal, and second they weren't long enough anyway to go through my BedRug liner. I purchased stainless steel nuts/bolts/washers at the hardware store along with some clear silicone to seal the drilled holes. Removing the taillights gave me access to install the hinge hardware, and reaching up inside the truck fender got me access to the front two bolts. Overall, for the low price I'm pleased. I do wish that the plastic was thicker and also of a stronger type as it feels rather cheap and fragile. I have a truck cap so I'm not worried about theft or weather protection, but the box lids do have nice gaskets to help keep moisture and critters out. I didn't use the included padlocks but rather just put some small carabiner clips as a secondary means of securing the boxes to the sides. I also took some of the foam packing material from the shipping boxes and cut it to make a padded section at the lowest

Die Koffer scheinen recht nett zu sein. Die Hardware ist robust und sieht gut aus. Das Problem, das ich hatte, ist die Hardware und Platzierung. 1. bringt die Box in die Radkästen und 2. passt sich nicht gut an die Radkästen an. Ich wollte sie so nah wie möglich an der Bettwand haben, also habe ich meine eigene Halterung mit ihrer Hardware gebaut. Es ist erwähnenswert, dass die Box, egal ob links oder rechts montiert, dieselbe Box ist. Die Scharniere und Halterungen können ausgetauscht werden. Aber der Metallhebel ist einzigartig für die angegebene Seite. Außerdem hat er keinen Verriegelungsabschnitt, um den Drehpunkt zu verriegeln. Obwohl die Box also verriegelt ist, kann sie immer noch gedreht und die ganze Box herausgezogen werden. Aber wenn Sie geschickt sind, können Sie eine Sperrhaspe hinzufügen.

Es war eine Odysee dieses Teil anzubauen, es ist zwar universell aber es bedurfte einige Veränderungen beim an bringen ,es kommt wahrscheinlich auch auf den Pickup Tüp an .Aber ansonsten bin ich zu frieden

Not bad, the latch doesnt latch itself on the bottom. I have to pull it to make it latch shut, even worse when there is a bit of weight in it. but for the price it does what i need which is stop my tools from sliding around the bed

Seem to be made decent work Nicely. Had to install 1/2” higher than instructions said to get the latch to line up correctly.

It works, but there are aspects of the setup and install that could make this better. I ordered it because I have a topper on my truck, which prevents most toolboxes from mounting onto the bed because of where the brackets sit. This seemed like the perfect solution, so I ordered not only this box, but also a box for my old work truck too. And while it does work, installation is a pain because things don't line up well. I'd assume it was just my one truck, but I ordered two boxes, one for each of my trucks and ran into the same issue with both. So when it comes to the long term durability of them, I can't really say. However this is still a good option when you have either a cap, cover or topper on your bed and need something that will mount to something other than the ends.

Le rangement est très pratique, de bonne qualité. Attention lors de l'installation car si vous avez un lit de benne en plastique, il faut le découper. Attention aussi à la hauteur de pose si vous avez un hard top, cela peut toucher si vous suivez exactement les consignes. Je recommande le produit.

Recently purchased this storage box, nice box, easy installation, good price, however, after a month of use the bolts attaching the box to the truck bed pulled out. After making a comparison to another brand I was able to determine the bolts from Vevor appear to smaller and have course threads, I replaced the Vevor bolts with 5/16" fine thread machine screws and the issue is resolved. Everything else is great other than the attaching bolts and a lack of a locking system to keep the box from being removed from the truck. If not for these issues I would have given a 5 star rating.

....bought this to keep trailering items out of the cab...lockable lid a joke,lockset fell apart after one use. Instead of just sending me a new lock customer service told me to destroy the whole box and they would send me a new one!...landfills have enough garbage in them!...as for waterproof!...leaks like there's no gasket at all! All I can say good about it that it mounts easy and stows neatly out of the way. Would be a decent product if they would upgrade the lockset and put a thicker gasket on it so it wouldn't leak!
