We have used it a couple of times and it was helpful for locating pipes under slab and finding a septic tank

Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem VEVOR Leitungsverstopfungsdetektor. Das Gerät funktioniert einwandfrei und war für mich eine echte Hilfe. Ich habe damit endlich meinen Sickerschacht gefunden, den ich zuvor lange vergeblich gesucht hatte. Funktioniert bis ca. 0,5m unter def Rasenkante. Die Bedienung war unkompliziert und das Gerät hat zuverlässig gearbeitet.

I used the pipe locator to map my drain field line for my septic system. The transmission was a bit weak, but with patience I was able to get it done. The drain field line was buried about 18” deep. Needed to max the gain to be able to faintly hear signal. The line itself is not stiff enough to insert by itself, so it needs to be attached to fish tape or in my case the sewer camera line. I used some electrical tape, attached the line just behind the camera, and it worked just fine; just a little cumbersome with two lines (pipe locator and camera). Overall, it works well enough for homeowners, and is cost effective. I am not sure it would be adequate for commercial use.

Works as should wish it worked under deeper pipes .tryed using in skimmer line of underground pool couldnt find it anywhere

Great tool to locate clog pipes or pipes in general. But pipes 1 inch and down this tool won't make 90 degree turn.

This tool allowed me to locate a 6" drain up to about 2 feet underground to minimize digging. The cable was too floppy and doubled back on itself after a couple of transitions so I found a relatively stiff old garden hose, cut off one end, and fed the pipe locator into the hose while the hose was laid out straight on the ground. With the probe inside 30 feet of hose and the beacon end at the cut end of the hose, I was able to jam all 30 feet of hose into the drain from a cleanout. To minimize stooping, I taped the receiver handle to a longer piece of wood for scanning the ground in a standing position. To hear the tiny differences in tone from the receiver, I connected the headphone output to the auxiliary input of a speaker. Working in two foot intervals was successful. This tool is not a professional sonde pipe locator (nor is it advertised as such) but is OK for occasional users, great value for the money.
