I've gotten Vevor hydraulic steering for boats in the past. I haven't purchased many off Amazon yet, I sure will now again though. The delivery was very quick and everything was as described.

Functions as designed. Installation was straight forward prepping the console to accommodate the helm was the biggest time consumer.

The hydraulic steering system is a great upgrade from rack and cable steering with no engine feedback. However this is the problem. There are numerous hydraulic steering helm pump capacities ranging from 1.1 cubic inches to 3.0 cubic inches. The higher the pump volume the lower the number of steering wheel turns lock-to-lock. This particular helm provided 7 turns lock-to-lock, which was almost double number of turns of the Teleflex rack and steering cable that was removed, which is not good for my high performance boat setup. I would advise to get 100% confirmation on the steering helm volume from VEVOR before you buy to see if it will work for your boating application. There are charts online that provide the number of turns lock-to-lock based on the helm volume. Otherwise it is a great steering system.

I replaced the steering in my boat because it was time. The shop wanted $3500.00 to put there steering system in. Went home and got to looking and found this steering system. Got it, installed it in my Proline 230 center console with a Mercury 225 optimax in under an hour. I have used other steering systems that cost 7 times what this system cost me and they are not as smooth when turning the helm. There is no lag, no sticky feeling, it is very responsive. It has been on my boat for a year now and there are no issues or complaints. The instructions are very simple and easy to understand (if you need them). Other than the labels and the difference in feel, there is no difference in materials from the high dollar system to this one. If I need another one in the future I will come right back to VEVOR!

The 2024 season will be the 3rd year this kit has been in service on my boat. My only complaint with it is it does take more turns lock to lock than the Sea-Star. I can’t remember exactly how many now, I believe it is six turns. When I first installed it I thought this would be very annoying but I no longer notice it. The kit has worked flawless, have not had any leaks squeaks or problems. I have put roughly 250 hours on it in only salt water and other than the paint fading slightly it still looks the same as the day I installed it. That being said I am meticulous about washing down my entire boat after every use and oiling everything with Corrosion X or Fluid Film at the end of every season. I believe with the amount of savings this kit provides, it is a very good value.

Ich kann mich nicht mehr genau erinnern, wie viele, ich glaube, es sind sechs Umdrehungen. Als ich es zum ersten Mal installiert habe, dachte ich, das wäre sehr ärgerlich, aber jetzt fällt es mir nicht mehr auf. Das Kit hat einwandfrei funktioniert, es gab keine Lecks, Quietschgeräusche oder Probleme. Ich habe es ungefähr 250 Stunden lang ausschließlich in Salzwasser verwendet und abgesehen davon, dass die Farbe leicht verblasst, sieht es immer noch genauso aus wie am Tag der Installation. Trotzdem wasche ich mein gesamtes Boot nach jedem Gebrauch sorgfältig ab und öle am Ende jeder Saison alles mit Corrosion X oder Fluid Film ein. Ich glaube, angesichts der Einsparungen, die dieses Kit bietet, ist es ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

I bought this kit trying to save money and was very satisfied! Was easy to setup and very smooth I used it for most of last year and put over 50 hours on the boat and never had any problems! Way nicer then cable steer especially for my center console
