I had been looking for a hydraulic steering kit for my boat for a while. Came across Vevor, asked questions, loved the price, pulled the trigger and ordered. Very nice kit but instructions are lacking in detail. A more simplified detailed orientated instructions would’ve been helpful. Not real clear on how the hoses hook up, doesn’t say what type of hydraulic fluid to use. Overall great kit.

I have a season and a half on this and it has been working great. I have a 22’ pontoon with 115 hp engine that came with cable steering. This unit makes the steering so much easier.

You can't beat the product for the price. The first time i ordered the steering it was lost in shipping but with the refund i order another same day. It all worked out in the end.

Threads on rods are too short meaning the nyloc nuts don't thread into the nylon. Large potential for the nuts to come loose. Nuts coming off could be catastrophic, product should probably be recalled until corrected.

Schöne Lenkung schade das die Schrauben fehlen komplett die Rückplatte für das Lenkrad fehlt und man bekommt keine Rückmeldung werde es verbessern wen̈ das Problem hier behoben ist bild sachen die nicht geliefert wurden rot umkreist

It looked great comming out of the box! Installed well, however after the third time using it fluid started shooting out of one of the fittings on the ram. The fitting had cracked and when I went to look at it the fitting snapped off in my hand.

No where in any of the 300hp kit descriptions does it list the size of the helm pump. Since it looked like the 1.7 cubic inch displacement and 4.9 turns lock to lock. they sell I thought it was that one. But no! they put a 1.1 displacement or smaller in the kit, It has 8.5 to 9 turns lock to lock. Thats unacceptable for a bass boat running 60+ mph. To turn a little you have to turn the wheel a half turn. Thats way to much and dangerous. My cable steering was 3.5 turns lock to lock Seastar pro 2.4 is 3.5 turns so I ordered that.,Hopefully the hoses and cylinder will hold up to it, but if they don't then its seastar for them. I'm highly disappointed and vevor won't do anything. They would refund if I pay shipping, However they refunded me $100 if I keep it, so I did. The wheel definitely turns easy but you going to be doing a lot of spinning with this kit.

This is the worst experience that I have ever went through. Their product didn’t work. Then it took several weeks to get a refund. I will never ever buy another product from this manufacturer!!!!

Be prepared for quality variations and problems. The kit is otherwise of reasonable quality for the price, but the steering pump that came with my 300hp kit makes a loud noise when turning left. Also, there is a 5-7cm gap before the engine reacts even though the system has been bled several times, the gap is not due to air but is a characteristic of the pump. The warranty does not cover it, it is said to be harmless. Buy a steering kit from a well-known, high-quality brand so you don't have to worry about quality problems or warranty problems. Now I have to throw the Vevor pump on the shelf and buy a higher-quality pump from another manufacturer instead.
