I have been using this feeder a few weeks. It doesn't take 25lb of feed maybe 15lbs. Most of the chickens use it but it took a while for them to figure it out. The ducks don't use it at all which is a pity. I have to put out feed in the old feeder for them. If that changes I will edit this

Not as durable as the other more expensive brand but it works just the same and for the cost savings, I would buy it again, however, my biggest complaint is its size. This is too small for large fowl chickens and better suited for bantam breeds.

Received this feeder today, I planned to use it while I am away on vacation as it said it has a 25 lb capacity. I also bought one that said 40Lb capacity. There is no way it will hold 25 lbs of chicken feed.

Maybe it’s just my flock but they were too rough for this. The side pieces bent down a few times which wasn’t a big deal to fix. The real problem came when I came out to find the feeder bin full of blood. I believe that one chicken jumped on the feeder lid while another was eating and caused it to shut on the chicken. Whatever happened, it hurt at least one bird and they were not wanting to eat from it after that. I also found that it doesn’t work well in a coop using deep litter method. It’s now sitting unused and I’m wishing I would have stuck with the old system.

Cost too much for the low quality ; the mouse proof part keeps getting stuck open making it an expensive mouse feeder !!!

I believe I received a faulty unit as when the chickens step on the pedal, the lid opens too quickly and gets stuck on the top lid. The grate over the food keeps falling down as well. Customer service hasn't been helpful either, just told me to put it on flat ground, but it came out of the box like this.
