Works great like it should. You can drain the oil hot straight into it. In fact do that right when you begin to shut down and let the oil cool a bit for at least an hour. Or else its going to suction that lid on so tight if you put it in hot you wont be able to get the lid off without breaking the seal. I got 2 of them. 1 I did that to and the other i let it cool. Both are still usable but I know that one has the seal thats broken.

I have a food van and was using old oil drums to empty my oil in each night but needless to say they are not built for holding hot oil and have had a few mishaps. This product is so easy compact and great quality has saved me so much time and mess. Would definitely buy again and recommend anyone in the same situation should get one. Money well spent

I have a 40lbs gas frier. The oil you buy from most places comes in a 5 gallon container. The first time I used it and drained the oil into the 6 Gal Oil caddy it would not hold all the oil. So If someone is looking for and oil caddy and has a 40lbs frier, buy the 8Gal Oil caddy so it will be able to hold all the oil.
Other than that it worked Great and and sealed up fine with it's latches. Maybe I just assumed that 6 gal. would hold all the oil. Guess I will have to look into getting the 8gal oil caddy in the near future!
