This topside oil changer is perfect for those that do not like crawling under cars and getting dirty. All you need to do is drive your car around until the oil is at operating temperature. Park the car, pull the dipstick, connect the various hoses to the device, then put the hose down the dipatick! Next, extend the foot support on the bottom and you can either start pumping away like a bicycle pump, or you can connect a compressor hose to the pressure fitting. I do it the manual way which is slower, but much quieter. Depending on how much oil you have in your engine, you should be done in 10-15 minutes. It can be done faster with an air compressor, but I have never used it in that manner. If you car has more than 6 quarts of oil, you will need to stop and empty the tank, then start again. You can simply disconnect the fitting to the device and pour the dirty oil into an old container or those oil change boxes. This is very easy to use and the design is good with lots of bracing on the container. All items are well made. The only things that could be improved on would be a holder for all the hoses, and a better shut off valve for the compressor fitting. This is a must have for any DIYer that has a car with a dipstick. There are even cars without dipsticks, that have an access port to use these.

Overall works well. Found that the pumping function leaves a considerable amount (less than a quart) in the tank that can't be used without dumping it out, therefore plan for a little extra fluid used.

-----SECOND UPDATE----- Without much hope, I contacted Vevor about the hose problems and received a response through their support portal. I was informed that the extension hoses are not intended to be used together. In other words, I can use one extension hose or the other but not both at the same time. If I want to use this with my SUV I will have to elevate the extractor to make up for the hose and extension being too short to reach all of the oil. I also reported the broken locking tab on the brake fluid extraction hose. To my surprise, they shipped a replacement from China, 2nd day air. This impressed me and says a lot about the company. They are responsive to problems, though it takes about a day to get a response via their support portal. Increasing to four stars for good support. I'm still not happy about the hose being too short to use with one of my vehicles, but the extractor works as expected and the company stands behind it. -----UPDATE----- So I finally got the opportunity to use the oil extractor. It did not go well. Some of that was my fault. Upon unpacking I discovered that one locking lug was missing from the brake fluid extraction hose. Not a big deal, I wasn't planning on using that anyway. But it's disappointing as I have no recourse to get it replaced. I proceeded to use the extractor to remove oil from my SUV engine. I pushed the hose into the dipstick tube until it stopped, and proceeded to pump. Some oil did come out, but very little. I tried adjusting the depth of the hose and pumping for longer periods of time. I connected it to air sources. Nothing helped. And then... I pressed a little harder and the hose slipped past whatever it had stopped on before. Tried it again and like magic it pulled oil out of the engine. For a while. Then I had to lower the hose deeper into the engine to get the rest of the oil. At this point I needed the extension hose, and discovered that I can't use it because the connector is the wrong size. I was stuck - h

Works nice. Would be better if it came with a better selection of hoses/adaptors for getting into different spots - but that's pretty easy to cobble together for a typical DIYer. Product does a very good job sucking oil/fluids out. I tried it on a differential with 90/140 gear lube and this unit pulled it right out of there. Works way better in pneumatic mode - but it's nice to have the option of a hand pump.

The oil extractor comes with two different extension tubes. The larger extension tube is too big to fit down into the dipstick tube so I'm sure it's meant for gear oil, power steering fluid, radiator fluid, transmission fluid, etcetera. The smaller extension tube does fit down the dipstick tube and it is long enough to reach the bottom of the oil pan on my pickup truck. Unfortunately, the two extension tubes cannot be combined together. My dipstick is 36\" long which leaves me a maximum of 11\" of extra tubing. The main tube is just long enough to allow me to work on my bone stock pickup truck. If I would have a 4x4 truck or taller tires, it probably wouldn't be long enough, so you would probably have to set the vacuum unit up on top of a table or something like that to at least get it up to the bumper height. The main and extension tubes are stiff and fight against you during use. This stiffness makes sense when you are trying to thread the small hose inside of a long metal tube, but for everything else, it is a pain in the butt. Ironically the dedicated brake fluid tube is soft and pliable and plenty long enough. Both extension tubes have a slip fit reducer adapter glued on to them. My smaller extension tube's adapter was loose and had broken glue. I would have preferred having extra adapters to go between the different sizes of the tubing and the main tube should be at least 4 - 5 feet long.

Adaptor hole size too small for heavy oils. Replaced with larger diameter plastic hose. Works fine. Some instructions would be nice - working out how stop valve operated was an issue.

Great value. 1/3 the cost of other similar fluid transfer systems . All the special model specific fittings that you can imagine. I used for Mercedes-Benz. Really moves the fluid fast. Pump handle assembly was missing, but customer service was very responsive by email. Customer service phone number was not being answered. Might have been time zone related. They resolved the missing parts quickly. Great experience. I would recommend as best solution for transmission service of all vehicle make and models.

Plastic broke all ready on extractor tube

Worked great in manual mode for a few oil changes but when I connected it to my compressor, it failed and sprayed oil all over when I went back to manual mode. Is there a max allowable pressure from the compressor? Can this be fixed?

A great idea but unfortunately make from poor quality parts like the pressure valve blows off at 10psi and one of the air taps doesn't shut off and the air fittings are something strange that I had to change.
