This little machine is worth it, at least for us. As a non-profit trail builder we seek durable, consistent, and affordable tools. When it comes to shaping berms and rollers and remote trail fills we need a lighter weight solution for compacting soils. This machine out the box was great. Just needed crankcase oil (not supplied) and fuel. Minimal assembly. It took about 10 mins and it was ready to roll. On initial start up I was concerned that the vibration motor was defective or just could not produce the correct frequency. It dies take a few seconds (15-30) for it to warm up to produce the correct frequency of vibrations. On-trail work has been great. It’s light enough to carry and move with a wheelbarrow. Fuel use is fine, tank is pretty small but still runs for a decent amount of time. It also moves faster than our larger (230lb) plate compactor. This machine is not efficient for large areas, but that’s why we got it. Controls are typical on a gas motor and starts easily. We have about 8 hrs on the machine with zero complaints.

Top operation with this compactor

Have used this twice now. Motor starts easily, and it runs without issue. In9tially, the belt was not on the drive pulley, but realized that very quickly, fixed in a few minutes. Compacted about 1000 sq feet of gravel in no time. Works great and the price is awesome.

I have used this plate compacter for 3 pads so far on 2A modified stones. Works good. easy to manage and compacts well.

We use this in our excavation business for any light duty compaction. It has been reliable for over a year with frequent use.

I've been wanting a plate compactor for a few years now. All the name brand one's are crazy expensive. I was very hesitant at first when i saw the price on the Vevor brand. My first thought was this must be junk, but if lasts one or two jobs, it basically pays for itself just in rental fees. It arrived 4 days after i ordered it. It came 95 percent together. All i had to do was bolt the folding handles and the throttle lever on. Filled it with oil and gas and it started on the first pull. I can honestly say that this thing works just as well as the name brand one's and has just as many features. Very well made. I actually started buying other Vevor brand tools now. The quality is very good. I'm very happy with my purchase.
