The only negative is it would be nice to have more than one speed setting.
I use this for a spray booth set up in my workshop combined with a filter that I cut to fit the intake opening. It works great and dramatically reduced over spray and fumes. This is a powerful fan that isn't super loud. The duct is made of a fairly thick vinyl that I trust will hold up against fluctuating temperatures and consistent set up and take down in my shop.
