Absolutely AWESOME ...super quick delivery right to my door,(in 4 days),it is a VERY well built machine,heavy and solid with lots of features (even more than is in the description) ,accepts various lengths of belts ,comes with extra attachments ,even more than it's listed in the description,(like 1" AND 2" wheels for channel grinding) ...to say I am VERY HAPPY would be an understatement ....HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AAA+++

I have had this item for a month and it has not disappointed thus far. The variable speed is fantastic, easy assembly, and is strong. Very high quality for the price, it is much much cheaper than its competitors.

Machine très robuste et facile d'utilisation, mais trop violente pour le travail du bois, je vais lui ajouter un variateur de vitesse.J'aurais du me tourner vers cette option dès le départ... Tant pis pour moi ! Ce qui n'ôte rien à la qualité de la machine reçue. Vraiment tip top pour le prix, maintenant reste à voir sur la durée .

Review after 2 months of full time, professional use. Since this belt sander is such a great value, price and quality considered, I’ll give it 5 stars. Tracking and power were perfect, right out of the box. Welds, balance, speed variation, and attachments are all very nice. I fabricated a tripod stand for it that is heavy and allows me to stand anywhere around the grinding surface. When using the big wheel, or the graphite platen (especially at full speed) it does not bog down under intense pressures. Having said, here are some things you may want to know: -It takes about 10 seconds to ramp up to full speed. If I need to hurry up and clean the burr off a cut, this is not the grinder I use. -the “run” and “stop” buttons are so small, that I often miss them. I spent too much time figuring out a way to make the buttons bigger and easier to push on the first try. —even used actual “buttons”. See photo- -82 inch belts are not popularized in the US, I could not find anyone who sells a production version ceramic belt in that size (but you can easily buy aluminum z belts) -Combat abrasives custom made 36 grit, 82/2 ceramic belts, for about 10 dollars each. That’s a great deal, but you have to buy a dozen of them to get the custom size. To me, it was totally worth it. -the speed control system is not specific to this item. It seems to be a generic control panel that has many potential uses. It will come all set up, but it looks a bit hokey and I hope it lasts. -mine came with the power transformer. The motor is a 220v and it needs to be transformed into the 110v. I hope that lasts too. Over all, I’m thrilled to add this belt grinder to my shop. It is far more versatile than my 3/60” upright, and, as a career metal sculptor, I love having this hungry, powerful, but precise machine! I still get a kick out of showing people the slow-2800 rpm variability. Jacob Dean

If you order Item 782J79, Mfr. Model GSWB410645 from Grainger you can convert this to 72" with no permanent modifications. It is a smaller gas piston with the same pressure. Drill out the ends of the new piston with a 5/16th" bit to fit the original hex screws, swap the pistons and now you have a grinder that works for 72" with no permanent modifications and you can still tilt the flat platen/use the top/bottom areas of the belt for rounding etc.
