Überraschend gut
30 x 1 Zoll Ja

Great gateway belt grinder for the home hobbyist
This is an incredible piece of equipment for the money. While it's not a 2x72 belt grinder, it's also 3-5 times less expensive and takes up considerably less room.
For the the home hobbyist, or maybe beginning knifemaker or fabricator that doesn't want to invest the time or space required for a 2x72, there aren't a lot of options.
This is replacing my old Delta 1x30 grinder, so I already have a collection of belts. However, you really can't compare the Vevor 1x30 to the Delta, or that old style of belt grinders.
The Vevor seems to be built from the ground-up as a mini 2x72 grinder. Tilting head to be able to grind horizontal, quick change belts, and a VFD for truly adjustable speed from very low, to incredibly fast. The DC motor has plenty of torque and it won't stall like the old style 1x30 grinders like my Delta.
So far I've ground some aluminum, steel, and some small wood projects and this has worked without issue.
This needs to be mounted or secured for use. I mounted it to a 3/4" plywood base, and drilled a couple of holes to hold the small table and the large contact wheel, but I may change that design and build a small drawer under the base; A large piece of MDF might be better as it has a bit more weight.
Vevor includes a few nice touches, such as the toolless lever to adjust the tool post, and another on the platen plate. However, everything else is a hex-bolt, so you need to keep hex wrench handy. I chose to add wing-head bolts instead, they were not that expensive, and are relatively esey to tighten by hand as-needed (see photos).
The other thing I did was add a thin strip of bike rim tape to the drive wheel. It's completely flat, no crown at all; and while my unit tracked fine, I think it works just a bit better with the added tape on the drivewheel.
I tried using the belt guard on the top, but it made belt changes rather difficult; so I've removed it and likely will just leave it off.
I only have a few hours on this so-far, but for my diy home-hobby workshop, it's a definite winner. Being able to store this on a shelf when not in use, and having all the power I need for small projects is easily worth the price for this belt grinder.

Very god quality
72-82 x 2 Zoll Ja
I’m very happy and it’s robust and very god quality .
Bad quality on the bands that’s comes with it, just order high quality.
And the backplate is bad change to harden glass if you are gonna make knifeblade.
Otherwise it’s a good machine, really good!

Bisher positiv überrascht
30 x 1 Zoll Ja

Sr Project Manager
This 2 x 72 belt sander is a solid machine for the price.
Tolerances are a bit loose so I had to do a little shiming here and there to get things square. I wish it had a secondary tool arm so I could use or build a surfacing attachment, a better table and sharpening jig. The table it comes with is not great. Outside of that its has a good motor and tracks pretty good. It worth the price for the most part.

Knifemaker/Hobbyist
This is a suprisingly good grinder for the price. It has features more common with larger and more expensive grinders (i.e. do you want a flat platen vs a contact wheel, do you want to run vertically vs horizontally). It comes with a reversible speed controller. Don't know if you've priced those out by themselves at any time, but for this price, I was very pleased to have that included.
The build is pretty solid, and the only issue I have is that some of the adjustable features (table angle etc...) are held in place by a single allen bolt. It's not an uncommon feature, even among more expensive grinders (same with my burr king 2x72), but given the lighter build (aluminum not steel), these things would be more secure with a double bolt system (easily remedied with a drill, a tap, and another bolt...).
The variable speed is great, and the motor seems to be difficult to bog down. Honestly, the limits of what you can do with this grinder are mostly going to depend on you, the belts you can get, and limits inherent to a 1x30".
This sander has worked great so far doing handle contouring, fine work on a guard, and roughing in sharpening at lower speeds.

Retired
I'm mostly very impressed by this sander. Everything is nicely made and it runs very smoothly. The flat vertical platen is good for sharpening drill bits and general deburring. A couple of nits: you have to remove the top belt guard to replace the belt which would otherwise be tool-free because it takes up some of the slack in the belt when you're trying to stretch it around everything. Also, I'm not a fan of screws tightening against slots without a flat washer to bridge the gap, I will be adding those. I'm going to make a new vertical platen that is half as tall so that I can have a solid backup for grinding edges and a short section of unsupported belt for smoother deburring of edges, just my personal preference.
