Great value for the price. The wheel works well and I was able to make quite a few pots as a beginner potter. I got the 36 cm 300w wheel. The direction the wheel spins can be changed. My main issue with the wheel is the plastic pedal which is harder to control. The wheel can't go as slow/ fast as better wheels (like the shimpo). The aluminum top of the wheel also has many grooves that help the clay stick but also make it harder to clean. The tray around it also isn't a perfect fit. The wheel is also very short, so to decrease back pain a raised platform would be helpful. Overall it is excellent for the price and perfect for beginners.

The machine does the job. Very satisfied! The only problem is that the foot pedal keeps my foot higher than it has to be. After a while I found my way but I wish it was separate from the machine. I knew it from the beginning but I chose this one because it is 450W. For such a price I do not mind that much!! It is worth the money!

If you're looking for a long-term functional pottery wheel this isn't it. But to be fair I don't know of any others that are many that would replace the function of a normal sized one. This pottery wheel is definitely cute in design and a decent activity. I am a seasoned potter that's used to throwing things a very small proportions on a regular sized wheel. Bought this as an activity for My ceramics 1 students and for my 10 year old as well. It has a decent amount of power for what it is. It takes a little bit of trial and error to figure out when to turn the pace up or down. Was a little tricky to get the hang of centering.. I ended up centering the clay for my daughter and then handing it over. The biggest drawback is the lack of a splash pan. You get completely and totally soaked when using. I will have to figure out something myself because it sprays water up to 8 ft and consistently all over your lap. Tools that came were decent. Good value for the price.

It’s a good wheel for this price. The splash tray is a bit too small and leaks on to the lever which makes the lever a bit sticky. But the wheel is strong and works fine for a newbie. Also I had to build a shelf for it to stand on because the legs are a bit too short.

I love the size and price but when the wheel is on it makes a clunking sound, especially when breaking the speed down. How can that be fixed?

The wheel is good quality, it serves its purpose for its price, but it doesn’t have holes for the bats

Im a beginner and this does the job pretty well. Comes with all the tools that I need (and more) for practicing throwing, shaping, and trimming. At the price point here, especially compared to any other wheel, it was a pretty good deal and Im overall very happy with the purchase. My one complaint is the pedal is attached to the base of the wheel, which means it's in a super awkward position for your leg. If it was just attached with a cord and not on the side of the wheel it would be much better so you could place it wherever feels natural for your leg, would be much better. Not enough reason to spend $800 on a wheel, but seems like could be an easy fix for this $115 wheel.

Soy principiante en el mundo del torneado, así que no puedo dar una opinión desde la expereincia. Sí he probado tornos profesionales y puedo decir que el de Vevor funciona perfectamente (yo lo he hecho con pllas de cerca de 1kg). No uso el pedal, pero la palanca gradúa la velocidad de forma adecuada, suavemente. Desde luego el torno es pequeño y hace falta ponerle una base debajo para que alcanzce una altura óptima de trabajo. Esto hace que el pedal quede inutilizado, pues ya no está a ras de suelo. Es fácil crear una base con un simple palé y un tablero que pese y aporte estabilidad. El plato del torno viene perforado para poder sujetar unos discos (que están hechos con una especie de aglomerado o DM). Puedes tornear sobre ellos y retirar la pieza sobre el disco, sin tener que separarla. Sin embargo, este material cría moho fácilmente, por lo que yo tengo intención de hacer unos discos del mismo tamaño, pero en madera o escayola. Es útil que el plato penga ya perforado para sujetar los discos, aunque decidas hacerlos de otro material. Es un buen torno para iniciarse, funciona perfectamente y la limitación será la habilidad de cada una (y quizá el diámetro del plato). De lo que no puedo hablar es de la longevidad, pues solo llevo un mes con él. Creo que su punto más flojo es la pantalla LCD para encender y apagar (que no es muy útil cuando tienens las manos sucias de barro): preferiría sin lugar a dudas botones y creo que se estropean menos. Aunque en las fotos aparece otro tipo de enchufe, llegó con unoo adecuado para su uso en España. Las herramientas que vienen con el trono son muchísimas (no las vas a usar todas), pero el kit básico con una media luna, punzón, etc., te ahorra otra compra y puedes empezar a trabajar directamente, hasta que veas las necesidades que tienes en cuanto a herramientas.
