Great drill press for the price

Great little drill press. Drill head is stout and solid. Nice straight holes. Perfect for most home needs. Good features. Well made.

For the price and size of this thing, I don't think you'll find a better value. Laser, light and full adjustments. Happy with the purchase.

Overall I’m quite happy with this drill press. It’s nice to work with. Runs smoothly, the chuck runs true. The size is good. But there are a couple of disappointments. The drill stop bracket is just made of plastic so it’s not very precise. The machining of the table and the base leaves something to be desired. The table is not flat! It is somewhat dished in the centre. Which makes some alignment operations more complicated. For instance, to align the table square I normally put a machined rod in the chuck and check the table alignment with a 90°square. You need a T square instead. The base is also not flat. So you need to keep the flatness issue in mind if you place your workpiece on the table or base and expect to get straight holes. I mostly use a milling table so I can get that straight OK. In the “close, but no cigar” department: the work light and the laser lines are a neat idea but they don’t show up unless I turn off the room lights.

Solid little machine, easy to put together and adjust. I did, however, have to spend some time aligning the column to the base. When I attached the drill head I noticed the it was leaning to the side. Removed the head and twanged the pressed-in column so it would be perpendicular to the base. Eventually got it right, finished assembly and all looks good. Initial use shows no worries, though I can't speak for how it will hold up over time.

The drill works great. I used it to do some mortising the the set I also purchased from VEVOR. The only downside was that the largest bit 5/8” does not fit in the chuck. I used the smaller bit and the drill performed well. I am pleased with the purchase

It's a big drill and quite heavy. Sadly the assembly and quality control in China is a bit sloppy. Making the drill work as intended required some disassembly, extra grease, and adjustment. Nothing worked subtly or smoothly out of the box. The instructions consisted mostly of some tiny illustrations with a bare-bones explanation in English at the end of the booklet. It was pretty much useless as you expect from things produced in China. It took me quite a bit of tinkering and adjusting before things worked as they should. Specifically, the gears for the table height adjustment handle were very sloppy requiring an extra internal spacer, and rotating the table horizontally required the collar at the top of the column to be removed and repositioned before it could be rotated without binding. Other than that it seems to be a decent machine
