I bought this fan to use as an exhaust fan in my bathroom. The existing fan struggled to remove steam and moisture after a shower. Not this one! It's powerful and moderately quiet, but it is installed in the adjoining room, so noise is not an issue. It connected easily to 4" ABS pipe, and now my bathroom is dry and odour-free. I have used this item to extract air from my cigar lounge. The room is 18' X 15' with a ceiling height of 9'. It has proven to be extremely effective at keeping the room smoke free when set to level 6 (max level is 10). The noise level is very acceptable even at 10. My fan/blower unit is housed in a waterproof plastic box outside on the roof. I can highly recommend this product. It took me a lot of time to build my extraction ducting layout but well worth it, no more stale cigar smell next morning.
