Easy enought to put together, but I had to hand sand 1mm off the nozzle so it would fit. It could probably use a layer of refractory cement as well… but its cheap, and it works, its just not a forever tool

Ich habe diesen VEVOR 6-kg-Propan-Schmelzofen gekauft, um Messing zu schmelzen. Grundsätzlich wirkt der Ofen bei der Lieferung optisch solide und das Set enthält das notwendige Zubehör. Leider war meine Erfahrung beim ersten Einsatz sehr enttäuschend. Der Ofen wurde nur einmal und bestimmungsgemäß zum Schmelzen von Messing verwendet. Die Schmelztemperatur von Messing liegt je nach Legierung ungefähr bei 900–940 °C und damit deutlich unter der auf der Produktseite angegebenen maximalen Temperatur von 1482 °C. Der Betrieb erfolgte somit innerhalb des angegebenen Temperaturbereichs. Bereits nach diesem ersten Schmelzvorgang zeigte die innere feuerfeste Isolierung deutliche Veränderungen und Beschädigungen. Die Auskleidung wurde stellenweise sehr hart, verfärbt und weist Abplatzungen, Risse sowie unebene bzw. beschädigte Bereiche auf. Besonders im Inneren der Brennkammer ist zu erkennen, dass die Isolierung die thermische Belastung offenbar nicht gut überstanden hat. Auch der mitgelieferte Tiegel hat nach nur einem Einsatz starke Veränderungen gezeigt. Im Inneren entstand ein deutlicher schwarzer Belag, und die Oberfläche wirkt angegriffen. Dadurch habe ich Bedenken hinsichtlich der weiteren sicheren Verwendung, insbesondere beim Schmelzen von Messing bei hohen Temperaturen. An der Ofenabdeckung und rund um die zentrale Öffnung sind ebenfalls deutliche Hitze- und Verbrennungsspuren sichtbar. Natürlich entstehen bei einem Schmelzofen gewisse Verfärbungen durch Hitze. Nach nur einem einzigen Einsatz hätte ich jedoch nicht erwartet, dass die Innenisolierung und der Tiegel in diesem Umfang beeinträchtigt werden. Ich möchte den Ofen grundsätzlich behalten, weil das Konzept und die Größe für meine Zwecke passend sind. In seinem aktuellen Zustand möchte ich ihn aber aus Sicherheitsgründen nicht weiter benutzen. Für eine zufriedenstellende Lösung erwarte ich vom Hersteller bzw. Verkäufer einen neuen, für Messing geeigneten Tiegel sowie eine vollständige Ersatz-Innenisolierung beziehungsweise eine passende feuerfeste Auskleidung für dieses Modell. Die Fotos dokumentieren den Zustand direkt nach dem ersten Einsatz. Ich hoffe, dass der Kundenservice eine faire und schnelle Lösung anbietet. Bis zur Klärung kann ich das Produkt für Nutzer, die regelmäßig Messing oder andere Metalle bei höheren Temperaturen schmelzen möchten, nur mit Vorbehalt empfehlen.

No good, tried so many times, contacted support, cant melt copper. Does not get hot enough. The replaced the valve, but still no luck. Tried positioning the bowl, no luck. Wasted hours on it.

This is the most disappointing purchase I have made, yes I made a mistake with the address. It’s a family members address it was not delivered to them. Actually I have not been told where it was delivered, although it still says it’s been redirected? When I found out my mistake with the address I contacted the courier, the item was less that 20 k from me they said no problem but we have to ok thru sender that was all I heard. I was only offered half of what the item was worth and the courier hasn’t responded to my emails so where am I at! I’m going thru PayPal luck for me. If you buy from vevor hope they use a real courier

My regulator hose was collapsed. I could not get my furnace started. I need you to send me another hose.

It’s eh. You can only run one burner (preferably the top one) as the bottom one will heat the top one enough to melt the rubber hose and start a fire at the connection. It does still melt pretty well but not being able to use both really ups the amount of time it takes to hit high enough temps to really melt aluminum. Copper and brass you can do but it’s a real burn on your tanks. Being able to remove the top is really nice, but having to run a single burner hotter you start melting crucibles after every 4-5 times using it. If it worked correctly I’d give it 4 stars, but the single undersized burner (fine to run with a second one) really crushes its positives. Would I buy it again, no. Would I still buy a Vevor product, yes. I think their stuff is usually really good but this was just designed poorly. Had they spread the burners another 2 inches apart it would possibly have been acceptable but as it is you only get a nice foundry with an undersized burner.

couldn't get copper to melt. it would soften to nearly liquid but never get all the way. im not happy and I wouldn't recommend anyone buy it.

Lid warped after 1st use. Crucible didn't last fell apart after 5 uses

This melting furnace is a complete joke. It arrived without the graphite ingot, mold the rigidizer, refractory cement, or gloves, and this stuff isn’t easy to find anywhere. It’s not ready for use at all, and I easily could have damaged the insulation equipment if I hadn’t randomly come across a video that showed me exactly what to do. I’m warning everybody—do not purchase this unless you get these essentials.

I can’t get mine to melt anything, may try aluminum but I’m not holding my breath. Going to try it with oxy/acetylene rose bud but that’s a cost I was trying to avoid. Price would be good if it worked
