I usually just tighten screws up solid, but sometimes you need to torque things, so you don't strip the threads. This is a convenient, easy to figure out how to use, all in one little case, torque screwdriver for those occasions. Even though this Torque Screwdriver/Wrench as it is advertised for electrical work for proper torquing the binding screws for electrical wire(s). There is another GREAT purpose for this tool in the automotive repair. I replace several hoses in my 2002 Jeep Cherokee, including the Heater Core. The problem with worm drive hose clamps is getting the right amount tightness {torque}. Guessing by hand isn't always the best method for the fact of too loose or too tight. Heater Core tubing is real thin. A person can over tighten it and crush it. Worst yet, damage it. This Torque Tool is great to get consistent proper torque on the hose clamp. Most of my hose clamps range from 30 or 35 in/lbs. I would highly recommend it for anyone. Hope this helps.

I have been using this tool to torque the screw head fasteners on the tappet covers on a Lycoming engine. It works great and I don't have to worry that I am over tightening the screws.

I'm impressed by the value of the wrench, its easy to use and set up with clear indication when the torque has been reached.. Great value.

It has a more metal, and its better quality than the over priced flimsy plastic torque screw drivers. I'm happy that I spent a few extra $$ for this one. Torque settings allow you to increment by one inch pound at a time instead of 5.
