Amazing! It arrived on the very same date the Vevor said it would arrive. That's 23rd of December, as a Christmas gift! Well packaged, and they brought it up the stairs in well strapped plywood box (which was not necessary). There are slight cast imperfections on one side of the anvil; though, I have no complaints whatsoever for the price they charged! And the pritchel hole has been moved half way to be flash with the working face, as far as I can tell, it is an improvement. Thanks and Merry Christmas to Vevor team!

I was looking to get into blacksmithing, and was having trouble finding an anvil. Finally I came across this one and just went for it. I have had it for a year now, and have put it thru the paces. The o ly thing I will say is dress it when you get it and file the hardy hole to clean it up. I built a wood mount and also mounted it on silicon to dampen the ring. Also tip if you buy…..rr spike shanks work perfectly for quick hardy tools. Just cut the head off and weld on whatever you need.

This anvil works amazing so far. It's well made except the gurdy hole needed to be filed down a bit, same with the edges, but other than that I haven't had any problems at all. I put it on a log, wrapped it up with a chain(bought separately) and started forging. Other than the imperfections, 10/10 beginner anvil!

I use it for knife making. The anvil has really nice rebound with a hammer and a ball bearing test. Overall, I think this is a great purchase. It would make a great starter anvil for someone looking to get started.

This is an awesome starter anvil. Well made, didn’t see any welding beads or anything that indicated imperfections. Did see a small chip along the edge while I was dressing it but it came out with the flapdisk, and well, I was dressing the anvil anyhow! Hardy and pritchel holes are placed correctly too, unlike their other models. The other thing is this thing is considerably larger than its similar counterpart at HF. Has great rebound and SINGS when struck. All in all a great buy for an intro anvil.

Ein für diesen Preis wirklich hervorragender Amboss. Die Verarbeitung ist sehr gut, mit einem Winkelschleifer können die Kanten nach persönlicher Vorliebe gebrochen werden und ich habe auch das Horn vollständig von Farbe befreit (ist aber wohl nicht zwingend nötig). die solide Basis erlaubt eine gute Kontaktfläche mit dem Sockel und bei guter Befestigung kann der Rington fast vollständig behoben werden. Mehrer Projekte und der Amboss zeigt noch keine wirklichen Abnutzungserscheinungen. Das eher tiefe Gewicht ist bei normaler Bedienung (ohne Hilfsperson) überhaupt nicht problematisch. Absolut empfehlenswert!!!

TWO YEAR REVIEW : After having it for some time I'd like to give an honest opinion. My shop specializes in sheet metal fabrication and does forging on the side, both work great. The hardy hole had to be tuned a fair bit with files, this is to be expected it's a piece of cast steel. This means a 0.75" square bar will not fit into it well until you're done cleaning it up. Afterwards it was perfect. The finish could be better in every regard yes and you can (and should!) remove the paint to get that glorious look but all that really matters is the face is flat, has great rebound and is very hard. There is zero reason to purchase an overly priced vintage when something like this exists.

Awesome anvil for the price! Got the 50kg / 110lbs one as I was hoping the pritchel hole would be more flush with the horn, and it is. Surface is nice and hard, not sure exactly how much but my files skate across. Needs dressed but pretty clean as is and it was delivered to my doorstep... Can't be beat!
