Purchased this after I realized I had accumulated 5 chainsaws for property management and wind storms. Got tired of hand filing. Took a little "figuring out" on assembly, but eventually went together with only two bolts with large sturdy knobs and a couple of screws to mount it to a board. Now I can clamp it to my workbench or a saw horse. Well made and sturdy. Was able to sharpen 5 working chains and another couple of spares in a little over an hour (I'm slow). Allows for some tuning of the cut and I now get better performance out of one saw that seemed to bog down more than should have been necessary.

Excellent for the price

Sharpens the change great

For the price, it's hard to beat this sharpener. The motor is powerful, has good adjustment options, a light so you can see what you are doing, and comes with everything you need to get up and running quickly. The only thing that would make this better is to offer a "premium" bundle with CBN grinding wheels. But those can be easily ordered separately (which I did). The included wheels do work well if you dont want to spend the money on premium ones.

Perfect thank you so much!!!

Good sharper

I find this chainsaw sharpener perfect for my needs. I'm sharpening a 1/4" Pitch .050 69 drive links chain, and am able to dial in exactly the desired, tiniest grind and have it repeatable for each link. I recently sharpened the original Homelite chain from the 70's and it's cutting like the Archer chains that I buy for this saw. I also like the great visibility when operating it. I work under magnification, and with the way the sharpener is built and the light, I can clearly see everything. This chains is small, and the chain clamp expects a thicker chain, so I took out one of the 2 spacer washers that sets the gap, and afterwards it was a lot easier to grip the chain without throwing off the alignment. And there's a stop that limits the upward motion of the motor. I unscrewed that because it's pointless and I'm careful to unplug the unit when the disc is exposed when up. 5 stars because it's doing what I wanted it to do and it's already paid for itself.
