So the plucker works well enough. The cons, - if you try to use water to help the feathers exit the drum, eventually you trip the gfi because the motor and controls are not sealed against water intrusion . Solution, I am going to try and seal everything, and use a bag over the motor so water does not get on the electronics -the feathers will bind up inbetween the spinning disk at the bottom and the side wall. Meaning you have to detach the drum an clear it about every 4th bird. Solution, make the gap bigger between the disk and the side wall so the feathers can pass thru. Im going to turn the spin on and use grinder to shave 1/4 off and see how it works. I do not recommend doing this to anyone unless you are trained in work like this. Pros, it DOES WORK, I will deal with the minor issues for how well it cleans the birds, and how fast, AND for the very competitive price. The build quality is fine I expect this will work for years if not kept outside. Plenty of spare nubby fingers. Since they do not intend for you to use water with it really, this next mod is not something they would do, but I plan on installing a spray ring at the top of the drum with an on-off valve for control.

We processed 22 cornish cross meat chickens on 6/19 and the plucker did the job. However; you had to clean the large feathers out of the rotating base or it would plug up and trip the circuit. Didn't matter how much water we used while the machine was in use the feathers seem to always get stuck. It was to the point that I wouldn't trust anyone else to barrow it to use to process their meat birds. We figured out how to keep it clean in between birds but it takes an extra step. Which I guess is better than hand plucking. It did speed up the over all process a bit.

A decent little plucker for the money. It is good for processing a few birds in a backyard operation. The biggest downside is feathers tend to get stuck and stall out the motor. Removing the drum to clear it out is very simple and quick

Machine works fine when it works. I replaced the electrical cord after 2 uses (50 birds). The very next time I used it i only got halfway through the batch before it wouldn't turn on again. I thought maybe it had gotten wet. Nope. The breaker just wouldn't reset. I had enough and hardwired it and now it's fine. It does it's job. I just thought for 400 plus dollars I'd have it for a while. We will see if it makes it another season. I have around 150 processed. That's roughly 3$ per bird so far.

Item arrived so damaged there is not a corner a piece of it that is not dented beaten kicked dropped or as the sheet metal on it is actually ripped. I issued a refund return ticket no real response gave them pictures and then they asked me to supply pictures supply pictures the second time still waiting to hear back.

When i ordered this product and put it together, I noticed the quality was well below the price i paid. The amount of dents i found is embarrassing and showed a lack of quality and craftmanship. Rivets were not aligned, bulges and creases in the stainless steal, bent top. The shoot where the feathers go have huge gabs which can plug up the machine. The wheels its on are poor quality. Ive ordered from Vevor in the past and always been happy with their products so i was concerned when i saw all these issues. The box it came in had no damage so it wasnt damaged during shipping. I hope they can look into this problem.

Unfortunately our plucking machine arrived severely damaged due to shipping so we were unable to use it due to being worried that the damage it incurred during shipping would affect the way the product was supposed to work

Machine clogs quickly under the spinning bottom plate. So it needs to be taken apart and cleaned several times times during use. I have used it 3 times in the last 3 years, processing about 12 chickens each time. It plucks chickens well and quickly. But the stopping to take it apart to remove feathers buildup is time consuming. The take apart is easy enough, no tools required, but I had to pause every 4 or 5 chickens for cleaning. My first batch of 12 I may have triggered the safety delay a couple of times before I realized how many feathers build up under the plate and the need for frequent cleaning. The fourth and last time I used it or tried to, I plucked the first chicken just fine, and turned the plucker off. It never came on again. And I tried over and over after many waits. The light on the ground fault plug was on which I suppose means power was reaching the gfci but I don’t know if the gfci plug, the switch. Or the motor are at fault. Vevor sells replacement switches and plugs, but there isn’t a parts picture so I have to guess if the “plug “ is the gfci, and the switch is the toggle button switch mounted on the motor housing. I guess I could order both, but I hate throwing money away if neither are the problem. I wound up plucking 11 chickens by hand that day. It wasn’t difficult, just took longer. I wish there was more trouble shooting information, or power indicators at each point—after plug and after switch. So I could isolate the problem without knowing how and where to test with a multi meter. I would not have paid $300 to pluck 37 chickens in hindsight. Buyer beware!

The product was the first vevor product that was truly disappointing. It came crumpled and I had to bend it back just to use it. Its made of cheap tin and the functionality leaves a lot to be desired.

It’s takes longer to plucker the chickens and ducks. After that make the meat not good, and it’s still have a lot of feathers left over.
