The plucker was delivered quickly, the box was a little beat up and the hardware had come open, so we had to play find the screws before getting started. The wheels were easy enough to put on, and it is easy to move around. Plugged it in and turned it on but nothing happened. Luckily my husband is an electrician, and after a little tinkering he discovered the on/off switch was wired incorrectly and fixed it. Once we got it going it worked great! We scalded and plucked 2 chickens at a time, average around 5 lb birds. Feathers were off in 30-40 seconds with no tearing of the skin. I kept the hose running over the birds while being plucked to help wash the feathers down into the hopper. It would get clogged up with feathers occasionally but it was easy to clear them out. We processed 25 chickens easily in no time at all. SO MUCH easier than hand plucking! It is a bit of an investment, but if you are thinking of regularly processing your own birds I would recommend it. We spent most of our lives as city folk and were able to figure it out.

Few dings and dents but all in all pretty good unit. Cleans birds very fast. A must have for processing your own birds.

The wheels are cheap and don’t rotate 360. The bottom is so light weight that it wants to flip over being top heavy.

So far have only used on 5 chickens. 130 degrees scalding temp and 15 sec in the plucker seems to be the combo for not breaking the skin. Still a few random feathers to pull, and had 2 broken wings (not good average), but easier them by hand. Feather do jam in the drum so it won’t spin if not cleaned after 3 birds.

J’attend toujours mon crédit de 160$ pour ma commande passée

We bought this last year (2025). We process approximately 200 chickens per year. It worked fine until it just stopped working. Troubleshooted everything and still nothing. We only processed about 300 chickens total before this stopped working altogether.

Absolute waste of money. After the second bird we plucked, the machine completely stopped working. We couldn’t complete our processing day because of the malfunction. I’ve been trying to return it or just do an exchange because we still have chickens we need to process but have been unsuccessful so far.

This is a dangerous product. It was incapable of handling a single chicken at a time, max weight 6 to 7 pounds. While using, it would shock me anytime I touched the rim. It was unable to continue running as soon as the chicken touched the bottom. I’m very disappointed and would like a refund. I’ve only had it for less than one month and this is the first time attempting to use it. Worst purchase ever and highly recommend that your company stop selling this product as it is a danger to safety as well as woefully inadequate.

I used it on three chickens and then it wouldn't work again . Working on a exchange .

This machine is a low quality disappointment. It almost made pellets for about a half hour and after that it just blew powder into the bucket. As someone who owns a farm AND an auto repair business I am more than able to operate and maintain machinery. I attempted to read the piss poor owners manual and adjust the machine accordingly and it simply fails to produce pellets. A heartbreaking disappointment for our small farm. Shame on you VEVOR for selling such a low quality POS.
