Build quality is excellent, better than any of my other sanders. As a result, I sold my Tormek 2000 as sharpening knives was much easier on the Vevor. I did make an adapter bar so that I could use the Tormek Knife Sharpening jig, as well as the Tormek Square jig on the Vevor. All in all, I am very pleased with my purchase.

I started smithing with a harbor freight 1X30 because of price and footprint. This grinder blows it away for size and power. I didn't try to stall the motor, but did lean on it some. I didn't notice any slowdown. I have done some preliminary grinding, and some finish work. The flat platten needs to be surface ground a little. The vfd makes it work like a unit 10 times the price.

I bought the Vevor 1x30 belt sander to replace my old HF cheap sander. Night and day difference in quality and outcome of sharpening. The variable speed makes a huge difference. The open frame design allows me to get more range of motion for sharpening odd implements. I have been using it for 2 months now and believe it to be of excellent quality. If you want a variable speed sander, this model from Vevor is an excellent choice.

I was more than pleased, did not realize it came with all the attachments,it runs very smooth and looks fantastic,it is a well built machine and can be used buy any knifemaker.

Incredible feature with speed control for this price. A solid unit that has now made several knives in my shop. Overall a good purchase, but be prepared to have to make small modifications for it to be good. Examples: A screw holding in the fan mount on the motor came loose and got hammered around. Remove the shroud and add some loctite to these and tighten. They were all loose. The bolt hole on the right side of the base is way too close to the belt and will touch it. Be prepared to drill a new hole or 2 (it's mild steel so no problem.

Have had my eye on one of these for several years. As most of the ones I have seen the prices were $2,500-$3,500. Much more than I could really justify. Then I saw this Vevor belt grinder being listed for ~$1,000. When it went on sale, I decided to take the plunge. Was surprised that it was shipping from a location here in the US. It arrived in about 4-6 days and was packed well and everything seemed in good order. It comes with a 120VAC to 220VAC transformer and it works well. I will be wiring the VFD directly to 220, so the transformer is just a bonus and I'll keep that for some other devices that will make it nice to have. As far as the grinder goes it was easy to assemble and runs very smooth. Love the ability to control the speed. For finer work it's really nice to run at slower speeds. Full speed is a bit scarry as this thing really moves and will remove a lot of material on the more course belts. I did the 72" mod and that works well as I can find 72" belts easier. I will be adding a longer cable from the VFD to motor, so I can locate the VFD far enough away from the grinder as not to fill up with metal grindings. All in all, I love this machine and it looks like it will perform for many years.

Ich bin mit der Maschine eigentlich sehr zufrieden. Die Geschwindigkeitsregelung ist in Ordnung und die Drehzahl ordentlich. Viel besser als meine bisherige. Die einzigen Mankos sind beim Anschluss von Motor zum Frequenzwechsler zu finden. Das Kabel könnte 50cm länger sein und die Anschlüsse in den Umwandler sind etwas ungeschützt. Eine Schutzkappe oder ähnliches wäre wünschenswert. Am oberen Rad könnte auch noch ein Funkenschutz angebracht werden. Aber bei dem Preis sind das Kleinigkeiten. Ich würde die Maschine jederzeit wieder kaufen. Leider habe ich erst hinterher entdeckt dass es auf Youtube Kanäle gibt die Rabatte über Links generieren. So sind mir 200 Euro durch die Lappen gegangen.

Fast shipping and actually more quality than I expected for the money. It does everything I need, smith running motor and well balanced wheels. No complaints here I will definitely be purchasing more from Vevor .

Après quelque mois d'utilisation , je suis très satisfait de ce backstand, il est fabriqué avec des matériaux de qualités, ne vibre pas , il ne bouge pas pendant l'utilisation sur mon établi alors qu'il n'est meme pas fixé! vu son poids...le vrai + c'est le variateur de vitesse au TOP! les différentes bandes, selon l'utilisation, sont facilement trouvable dans le commerce ce qui permet à ce backstand d'exprimer toutes ces capacitées selon la matière travaillé. pour mon utilisation en amateur de coutellerie je ne peu que recomander ce produit.
