This trimmer is a game changer! I can trim my entire crop in a couple of hours, and that's going from plant to finished product. Highly recommend!!

A time-saving tool, although not a replacement for hand trimming I haven't used this machine extensively yet, as I generally prefer to trim my buds by hand while they're wet. I find I get a much cleaner, more manicured finish this way, which is ideal for putting the buds straight into my drying chamber. I normally harvest plant by plant and have mostly grown autoflowers, with a typical wet yield of up to around 100 g per plant. However, this year I've grown a hybrid outdoors in the garden that is currently 2.7 metres tall. I've already lollipopped it, but I expect harvesting and trimming it will still be a substantial job, so this is where I intend to put the machine to good use. I've tried it once or twice on larger plants and found that I needed to adjust the blade slightly closer to the cutting surface to achieve a cleaner cut. This is possible by adjusting the shims underneath the blade. I personally prefer a closer, cleaner trim, even if that means a little more wastage. In my case, that's not a problem, as I have more than enough material. Of course, there's still the time involved in preparing the buds beforehand and cleaning the machine thoroughly afterwards. Nevertheless, I think it's well worth the money. I don't expect the finished product to be quite as perfect as when I trim by hand, as I normally work my harvesting clippers right into each bud to remove individual sugar leaves completely. The machine trims the leaves but doesn't remove their stems in the same way. That said, I'm hoping it will save me a considerable amount of time and, just as importantly, spare my back a lot of unnecessary strain. I'll give it a proper test during this year's outdoor harvest and update this review once I've had a chance to put it through its paces.
