A washing machine malfunction partially flooded our downstairs. Vowing to never let this happen again, I chose the VBENLEM because of it's heavy duty construction (the edges are sharp so be careful handling the pan) and drain. Luckily our washer is located right next to a door to the garage so I run a hose out the door when we use the washer.
After putting this in the small space I had for my washer/dryer, the installer said he couldn't lift it over the front of the pan o get it in the small space. Well, I just sent it back. It might work for you, but it just didn't work for me.
