Mixed experience.
First of all: The price was very competitive. Does that leave the seller out of obligations - no but...
- Cranking handle: Missing the handle bushing. The swivel part is squeezed and locked down when you tighten the handle fastener.
- Worm gear mesh adjustment is missing the locking screw.
- Divider plates comes with two different hole dimensions, whereof the plunger fits in one of them.
- The table guide keys is prevented to be put in place by a good layer of very durable wrinkle paint.
- The divider plate plunger has several issues:
- - The spring is jamming between the shaft and the tube.
- - When retracted, the internal guide does not match its groove and the plunger has to be forced back under high tension to lock.
- - When fitted to the hande as intended, it doesn't reach down to the divider plate holes.
- The U-washer for the sector arms falls off when cranking the handle, and its U-groove is to wide and very sharp resulting in immediate wear on the shaft where it actually touches.
- Adjusting the backlash results in jamming on one side and loose backlash on the other. (from wormdrive runout?)
- The dividing plates and the manual are made for 1:90 gearing ratio, but the actual gearing of the unit is 1:72. You will have to recalculate it all by yourself or find a 1:72 table. It's also limiting the already quite limited possibilities of divisions.
Along with the manual is a test protocol that is stamped by a tester, but the actual values are not filled in on the form. I have checked axial and radial runout and both where about 0,015 mm. And contrary what the seller has answered on the question, the center hole do take MT(A/B)2.
All this can be fixed (except the worm gear perhaps), and if you bought things from China before you are used to this kind of challenges presented here. Overall it's actually very good value for the money, unless you charge your own work for completing the product.
